It takes a lot of water to keep golf courses green. Between rain, dew, sprinklers, and runoff, you’re bound to encounter some wet conditions on the course, no matter how beautiful the weather might be. Considering that you rely on your feet for a 4-plus hour round of golf, a great pair of waterproof golf shoes is essential.

I’ve not only personally tested more than a dozen different pairs of golf shoes over the last couple of golf seasons, but I’ve played in just about every weather condition that could possibly be considered acceptable for golf, almost exclusively on foot.

When it comes to which golf shoes offer the best protection, comfort, and performance, I know my stuff. That’s why I’m compiling a list of the nine best waterproof golf shoes of 2025.

Need to Know

We personally life-test every golf shoe we review. Some of the shoes featured in this roundup are based on research and golfer feedback rather than our own testing. We clearly mark the shoes we’ve tested so you know which ones have been through our full testing process.

FIND AT TRUEFIND ON AMAZON
Waterproof: 2 years
Profile: Spikeless

Pros:

  • 2-year waterproof warranty
  • Eye-catching style
  • Exceptional comfort
  • Great for walking

Cons:

  • Price is an upfront investment

If I could only own one pair of golf shoes, it would be the TRUE OG3 Pro. That’s why I put them at the top of this list.

They’re waterproof, backed by an impressive two-year warranty, so they can handle any course conditions, yet they’re comfortable for walking and breathable on hot days.

Let’s be honest, most modern golf shoes are comfortable – it’s one of the most enjoyable advancements in golf over the last 10-plus years – but the zero-drop, wide-toe-box profile of the TRUE OG3 Pro is on another level. I don’t even have wide feet, but I can’t get enough of that wide toe box.

The spikeless outsole has an aggressive tread pattern that provides plenty of stability during the swing, even in wet conditions, while making the OC3 Pro a versatile option for golfers who favor a spikeless shoe.

SHOP PAYNTR
Waterproof: Yes
Profile: Spiked

Pros:

  • Payntr’s first waterproof offering
  • Tour-level stability from spiked outsole
  • Sophisticated and minimal design
  • Excellent comfort for walking

Cons:

  • Waterproof label but no warranty duration specified

The Eighty Seven SC is Payntr’s first waterproof offering, and it’s also Payntr’s first drop since partnering with Jason Day. That proves that the Eighty Seven SC delivers tour-level stability and comfort suitable for walking the longest courses.

I tested the Payntr Eighty Seven SC in early spring conditions, and the waterproof material held up flawlessly.

The Eighty Seven SC delivered all the comfort that I’ve come to expect from Payntr. They’re wearable straight out of the box, and I never had any discomfort, rubbing, blisters, or anything of the sort. My legs and feet were pain-free in the hours and days after playing.

The sophisticated style, which features gold highlights on the exterior and a familiar shade of green on the inside, is quite satisfying.

SHOP PGA TOUR SUPERSTOREFIND ON AMAZON
Waterproof: 3 years
Profile: Spikeless

Pros:

  • 3-year waterproof warranty is industry-leading
  • Lightweight build makes them great for walking
  • Breathable yet sturdy
  • Versatile for use in all conditions

Cons:

  • Style lacks excitement

You can’t round up the best waterproof golf shoes without featuring ECCO prominently. After all, ECCO is the only golf shoe brand that I’ve seen put a three-year waterproof warranty on its shoes. That promise of longevity makes what seems like a steep asking price at first, much more enticing.

The LT1 is our pick for 2025 because, in addition to it’s superior waterproof properties, its lightweight and breathable build makes it an excellent choice for walkers. Meanwhile, the spikeless but fierce outsole is excellent in wet conditions without being too much on warm, dry days.

If you’re looking for the best pair of waterproof golf shoes that you can use year-round, you can’t go wrong with these ECCO LT1s.

SHOP PUMAFIND ON AMAZON
Waterproof: 1 year
Profile: Spiked

Pros:

  • Best value waterproof golf shoe
  • Several attractive color combinations to choose from
  • Available in wide and standard fits

Cons:

  • Waterproof warranty is just one year

I’ve owned a previous version of PUMA’s Ignite golf shoes, and they’ve stood the test of time as one of my favorite pairs of golf shoes. Sharing the PWRCAGE, PWRFRAME and IGNITE Foam with these new Ignit Articulate shoes, you can take my word that these are comfortable on the course in any conditions.

In my experience with other PUMA golf shoes, they outperform their token 1-year waterproof warranty. These shoes are competitive with alternatives that cost twice as much as the modest $89 asking price, which makes them, in my opinion, the best budget waterproof golf shoe out there today. But trust me, you’ll never feel like you’re wearing a budget golf shoe.

Pros:

  • Elevated style
  • Excellent comfort
  • Spiked and spikeless options available
  • Convenient slip-in design

Cons:

  • Waterproof warranty is only 1 year

I’ve tested both spiked and spikeless waterproof golf shoes from Skechers, and if you like to walk the course in comfort and style, these are great golf shoes.

The slip-in design makes these a convenient shoe for a quick transition to and from the golf course, yet the classic styling appeals to players of all generations.

Skechers’ Arch Fit and Heel Pillow technologies make these feel excellent underfoot, and the backing of a 1-year waterproof warranty is confidence-inspiring.

You even have the option to get these in spiked or spikeless versions.

  • Available in men’s and women’s styles/sizes
  • Well-executed blend of classic and modern styling

Cons:

  • Only available through Heathlander

These Heathlander Golf Shoes earned a “Best New Product” award at the 2025 PGA Show, and after thoroughly testing them on the course, I can see why.

Built for the proper golfer, Heathlander golf shoes are made for those who prefer to walk the course. They’re comfortable, waterproof, and the spikeless outsole is stable in all conditions.

The signature style – the primarily white shoe with bright accents – is available in a few different accent colors. Since its inaugural launch, Heathlander has followed up with navy, and red, white and blue versions of its Golf Shoe.

The shoe is weatherproof for one year and comes in cardboard-free packaging that includes a drawstring dust bag and a reusable zippered shoe bag.

SHOP PGA TOUR SUPERSTOREFIND ON AMAZON
Waterproof: 3 years
Profile: Spikeless

Pros:

  • 3-year waterproof warranty is industry-leading
  • Breathable despite superior waterproof build
  • Upgraded style

Cons:

  • Blistering on the heels during testing

Last year, the ECCO BIOM H4 was my top recommendation for a waterproof golf shoe. ECCO dropped a new-and-improved BIOM H5 early in 2025, but one issue prevented the H5 from earning my top spot this year: blisters.

In many ways, the BIOM H5 is better than its predecessor. The design is improved, the built-in sock/tongue system is better, and it boasts ECCO’s signature ECCO-TEX material, which makes it waterproof yet breathable, backed by an industry-best 3-year waterproof warranty.

But in my on-course testing of the BIOM H5, I got painful blisters on both feet by the time I finished my first nine holes. I can’t say if other people would experience the same issues, or if it was just the way these shoes fit my feet, but those blisters and a really deep class of excellent waterproof golf shoes in 2025, are enough for me to knock them off the top spot, but not completely off the list, in 2025.

Pros:

  • Suitable for the worst course conditions you’d play in
  • Keeps feet warm, dry and comfortable in harsh conditions
  • Excellent traction in dicey conditions

Cons:

  • Lacks versatility

If traditional waterproof golf shoes aren’t quite enough for what you need, check out FootJoy’s Stormwalker golf boots. Made for the harshest conditions, your feet will stay dry and warm even when the weather outside is quite the opposite.

I’ve seen some golf seasons extended well beyond what most people would consider reasonable in both New England and Idaho, and if you’re one of the proud few who won’t let a few flurries or temperatures in the low 40s, or even 30s, keep you off the golf course, then you need a pair of these in your arsenal.

How We Selected the Best Golf Shoes for Walking

When picking the best waterproof golf shoes, we first looked at the waterproof warranty each manufacturer puts behind the shoe. The more confidence a manufacturer has in its shoes, the more confidence you should have. We did not include any shoes on this list that don’t come with at least a one-year waterproof warranty. Many of our selections come with a two or three-year waterproof warranty.

After testing more than a dozen different golf shoes from at least eight different brands over the last three golf seasons, including five of the shoes on this list, we tapped into our experience with the features offered by several different brands to identify the shoes that offer the best combination of waterproofing, comfort, and stability to round out this list.

Play Golf in Any Weather

Let’s all take a moment to appreciate the excellent golf shoe options we have available to us today. Thankfully, we don’t have to choose between comfort and waterproof, or stylish and functional anymore.

Whether you want spiked or spikeless, it’s easy to find a fully waterproof golf shoe that’s comfortable for walking, breathable, and can keep you stable on wet and soggy golf courses.
