The Best Golf Shoes of 2025: Tested, Scored & Ranked
We tested many of the latest models to find the best-performing golf shoes for every golfer.

Except for your score, and maybe your playing partners, nothing can make or break your round of golf quite like the shoes on your feet.
The best golf shoes keep you dry, comfortable, and grounded, and maybe even elicit a few compliments. The wrong golf shoes, however, make you achy, soggy, and grumpy.
We’ve put more than a dozen models of golf shoes through our rigorous on-course testing and scoring methodology to pinpoint which shoes perform the best in every category.
This is more than just a list of the best golf shoes of 2025. It’s your complete hub for finding which type of golf shoes fit your style of play the best, and which shoes performed the best in that category in our testing.
Need to Know
We personally life-test every golf shoe we review. Some of the shoes featured in this roundup are based on research and golfer feedback rather than our own testing. We clearly mark the shoes we’ve tested so you know which ones have been through our full testing process.
Here's a quick list of some of our favorite golf shoes in every category:

Best Golf Shoes Overall
To make my Best Overall golf shoe recommendation, I simply ask myself which shoes I would use if I could only have one pair of golf shoes. My answer is easy: the TRUE OG3 Pro.
But how I came to that answer is really what’s important here. I picked them because the excel in every category more than any other shoe I've tested.
Additional picks in our Best Overall category go to shoes that scored the next highest in our testing, and top picks from other categories.

TRUE OG3 Pro

The TRUE OG3 Pro delivers the best combination of comfort, traction, style, and waterproofing, with the fewest sacrifices, of any golf shoe I tested in 2025.
If you know anything about the shoes from TRUE Linkswear, you know they favor zero-drop, wide-toe box designs. Those features create next-level comfort, and that’s TRUE’s ultimate goal.
The two-year waterproof warranty is the gold standard for a waterproof golf shoe. Some offer a token one-year waterproof warranty, and if the shoe is under $100, that’s a nice gesture. While most premium waterproof golf shoes come with a two-year warranty, I’ve still only seen one brand, ECCO, beat that with a three-year warranty on its waterproof golf shoes.

TRUE OG3 Pro Golf Shoes: Would I Buy Them Again?
Best Golf Shoes for Walking
Golfers who walk the course just as often, or more, than they use a cart, should look for a couple of specific features from their golf shoes.
First, they should be waterproof. I think a two-year waterproof warranty is a reasonable benchmark to give you full confidence that your feet won’t suffer when you walk a wet course.
Second, they should offer top-end comfort. An 18-hole trek can easily be in the four to five-mile range, and making that walk in uncomfortable golf shoes is all but certain to ruin your day on the course.

TRUE OG Cush

The TRUE OG Cush are among the most comfortable shoes I own, and that includes the non-golf shoes. The Zero Drop OG Cush is designed for comfort, and even before I studied the specs on these shoes and read that TRUE officially gives the OK to wear them off the course, I was wearing them off the course.
The outsole aligns with the shoe’s mission to be a lightweight, breathable, and comfortable golf shoe. The cross-life tread works great on the course in dry or damp conditions, but it’s not designed to be your go-to for the wettest rounds of golf of the year.

True Zero Drop OG Cush Life-Tested Review
Heathlander Golf Shoe

The Heathlander golf shoe is somewhat of a hybrid between the more traditional, classic-looking golf shoes and the modern made-for-walking golf shoes that could pass for running shoes or sneakers.
I took them straight out of the cardboard-free box and wore them on the course for three consecutive rounds, and never had a break-in period. No blisters, soreness, or achy feet afterwards.
While the 9mm tread makes the Heathlander golf shoe an on-course shoe only – not an all-day option that can transition off the course – the soft inside, cushy insole, and padded heel pillow make for a welcoming environment for your feet during any trek of the golf course.

Budget Golf Shoes
Today’s golf shoes range from around $50, to over $200. At the top end of that spectrum, golf shoes are a you-get-what-you-pay-for product. Finding a $200-plus golf shoe that isn’t incredibly comfortable, waterproof, and durable is rare.
If you can make a $200 upfront investment in your golf shoes, you can expect to spend the better part of a decade with them. That’s why some golf shoes at the top end of the price spectrum are still great value golf shoes in our opinion, because you get a ton of mileage out of them in the long run.

PUMA Ignite Fasten8

The PUMA Ignite Fasten8 golf shoe is as comfortable as any other shoe I’ve tested. It’s lightweight, breathable, and easy to clean, which makes it a great shoe for walking, not to mention the one-year waterproof warranty.

Waterproof Golf Shoes
No matter how fair-weather of a golfer you are, your golf shoes should protect your feet from the elements to some degree. A golf shoe’s waterproof warranty is the best indication of what you can expect in that department. Waterproof warranties are also a great indication of how long the manufacturer expects the shoes to last.

Payntr Eighty Seven SC

The Eighty Seven SC delivered all the comfort that I’ve come to expect from Payntr. They’re wearable straight out of the box, and I never had any discomfort, rubbing, blisters, or anything of the sort. My legs and feet were pain-free in the hours and days after playing in them.
The seven spikes kept me connected to the turf even on wet and soggy lies. My feet also stayed dry and warm throughout each round.

ECCO LT1

The ECCO LT1 is backed by ECCO’s 3-year waterproof warranty. It’s touted for combining its lightweight design with breathability and guaranteed stability. In other words, it feels good, plays in any weather, and keeps you grounded.
In our testing, the LT1 is indeed lighter than any other ECCO shoe I’ve tried, so there’s definitely something to the lightweight technologies ECCO has incorporated into this package.
The waterproofing, as I’ve come to expect with ECCO, is flawless. I would wear these shoes in any conditions that I’m willing to play golf in, which I’d wager is more than most people. This is one area where ECCO separates itself from its competitors.

Spiked Golf Shoes
Spiked golf shoes generally offer better traction and stability than spikeless shoes. If you play in wet conditions or have a faster swing speed, you may prefer spiked shoes.

After walking a full 18 holes in some soggy and muddy fall-in-New-England conditions, it was clear that the BIOM Tour delivers on its promise of a premium spiked golf shoe. The additional balance and connection to the ground throughout every swing, regardless of the surface I stood on, was evident, and will be a welcome benefit in exchange for a little extra maneuverability for many golfers.

Spiked vs. Spikeless Golf Shoes: Which Style Fits Your Game?
Spikeless Golf Shoes
Spikeless golf shoes are typically more comfortable. Golfers who prefer to walk usually prefer spikeless. Spikeless golf shoes also easily transition to the clubhouse, grille room, or 19th hole.

All-Day Golf Shoes
Like mini drivers and zero torque putters, all-day golf shoes are an emerging category that’s arguably long overdue. Forget changing your shoes in the parking lot, with all-day golf shoes, you don’t need to change them at all.
All-day golf shoes are at a disadvantage in our scoring system because they intentionally sacrifice traction in exchange for all-day versatility, and usually don’t have waterproofing to boost their score. However, don’t take that as a knock on the shoes themselves. When you’re looking for a golf shoe that works during nice-weather rounds, and off the course as well, these are perfect.

King of Comfort? My Life-Tested Review of Pluto 1 Golf Shoes
Nike Air Jordan 1 Low G

Style, performance, and versatility. The Nike Air Jordan 1 Low G delivers all three.
On the course, these spikeless golf shoes provide ample comfort for walking and plenty of traction and stability you need for normal conditions. They even come with a one-year waterproof warranty.
Off the course, you’ll never feel like you’re wearing a golf shoe. I hoofed more than 20 miles over four days in these golf shoes at a recent PGA Show, and it was one of the best footwear decisions I’ve ever made. My feet, and my style, stayed fresh.
Classic Golf Shoes
The mid-2020s is an excellent time to shop for classic golf shoes (aesthetically speaking) furnished with all the modern luxuries and technology you’ve come to love from your current golf shoes.
I gravitate towards the traditional style with neutral colors. I have to say, I’m always skeptical that throwback-looking golf shoes can match the comfort of the running-shoe-looking options out there, yet time and time again I’m pleasantly surprised.

12 Classic Golf Shoes for Timeless Style in 2025
If the Shoe Fits, Wear It
There is no lack of excellent golf shoes in 2025. And even though there’s an ocean of options, finding the right pair or pairs for your needs is simple.
First, decide how many pairs you want in your rotation. If you’re a wear-one-golf-shoe-until-it-falls-apart player, I recommend a waterproof golf shoe that is comfortable for walking yet has a more aggressive outsole. Not a spiked shoe or an all-day option.
If you want the perfect shoe for all conditions, I’d recommend a three-shoe rotation. Having a waterproof spiked golf shoe, a comfortable golf shoe for walking with quality traction, and an all-day golf shoe that prioritizes versatility, comfort, and breathability over traction and waterproofing covers all your bases.
