TRUE OG3 Pro Golf Shoes: Would I Buy Them Again?
I walked 36 holes in the TRUE OG3 Pro golf shoes. Would I spend $199 to replace them?

I love a good golf deal as much as anyone else. When it comes to spending my own money on golf stuff, I’m quite thrifty. I’ve always been that way, long before I was reviewing products.
When I buy clubs, I find a discount on last year's leftovers instead of paying full price for the latest and greatest. I save money by playing Maxfli balls instead of splurging for the Titleist equivalent.
When it comes to reviewing golf shoes, there’s no better gauge of my opinion than honestly answering one simple question: would I buy them again with my own money?
TRUE sent me a pair of the new OG3 Pro spikeless golf shoes to review. They’re waterproof, zero drop, and stylish. In other words, they’re made for the walk, in any weather.
So I walked 36 holes in them to answer that one question. If someone broke into my house tonight and stole every pair of golf shoes I own, would I spend my own money to replace the TRUE OG3 Pro?

TRUE OG3 Pro Features

SHOP TRUE
Price: $199
Waterproof: 2-year warranty
Profile: Spikeless
Colors: 4 (Black, White, Grey, PNW)
Pros:
- 2-year waterproof warranty is better than most
- Zero drop adds comfort for walking
- Wide toe box accommodates all-sized feet
- Clean, attractive style
- Overall comfort is excellent
Cons:
- Not my first pick for hot, dry rounds
Spoiler alert: I’d buy the TRUE OG3 Pro again in a heartbeat and rely on them for the bulk of my March, April, May, September, October, and November rounds.
If you know anything about the shoes from TRUE Linkswear, you know they favor zero-drop, wide-toe box designs. Those features promote comfort, and that’s TRUE’s ultimate goal.
The two-year waterproof warranty is the gold standard for a waterproof golf shoe. Some offer a token one-year waterproof warranty, and if the shoe is under $100, that’s a nice gesture. While most premium waterproof golf shoes come with a two-year warranty, I’ve still only seen one brand, ECCO, beat that with a three-year warranty on its waterproof golf shoes.

The Best Golf Shoes of 2025: Tested, Scored & Ranked
TRUE OG3 Pro First Impressions

TRUE shoes come in a neat, reusable shoe box that doubles as a shoe bag. It has zippers, a handle, and breathable mesh, so it’s really a convenient bag.
Upon opening the OG Pro 3, the PNW color scheme was instantly satisfying. The white and beige with accents of what I can best describe as faded yellow highlighter is a home run.
When I slid my feet into the OG3 Pro, the zero-drop and wide toe box dominated the feel. As someone whose feet don’t necessitate a wide shoe, the roomy wide toe box is a breath of fresh air. I was worried there would be too much extra room around the toes, but it turns out TRUE knows more than I do about shoes and comfort.
Walking in TRUE’s zero-drop shoes just feels different, especially the first few steps after wearing a traditional shoe with a drop. It’s a refreshing feel that makes me wonder if there’s a reason all shoes aren't zero drop.
On-Course Performance

I’ve walked 36 holes in the TRUE OG3 Pro so far, carrying my bag for most of that trek.
Both days I tested the OG3 Pro on the course were warm and dry.
For starters, walking in the OG3 Pro is a joy. I enjoy the zero-drop profile, and the overall comfort is top-notch.
The TPU outsole is rated as “moderate,” and given the conditions I tested these shoes in, it was more than enough to provide all the traction I needed. Based on my testing, I’d feel confident wearing the OG3 Pro in any conditions. I suppose some spiked options would provide better traction in the wettest conditions, but I play in any weather as long as my golf course stays open, and I can’t remember slipping or losing balance during my swing wearing an aggressively-outsoled spikeless shoe like this in the last five years.
I tested the OG3 Pro straight out of the box – as I typically do – and I had no break-in period, no blisters, and no sore feet.
I’ll be honest, I’m usually worthless after walking 18 holes in the heat. Maybe it’s the shoes, or maybe my exercise routine is starting to pay off, but after walking 18 holes in the OG3 Pro, my body felt minimal fatigue. I could still easily handle a normal day’s worth of activity.

The 9 Best Waterproof Golf Shoes of 2025
Style & Versatility

The TRUE OG3 Pro shoes are available in four styles. The PNW style I tested is the only multi-colored option of the bunch. Beyond that, there are white, grey, and black options, each with subtle trim and accents.
While TRUE makes some of the best all-day golf shoes available, the OG3 Pro doesn’t fit into that category for me. The style – especially the multi-colored PNW option – is distinctly golfy, and the outsole is too performance-driven to wear these to the farmers market without getting called out.

Payntr Eighty Seven SC Life-Tested Review
Value & Pricing
The TRUE OG3 Pro checks in at $199. Compared to other high-quality golf shoes that offer a waterproof warranty, the value is good.
I’ve tested two other shoes this year that I would compare to the TRUE OG3 Pro. Those are the Payntr Eighty Seven SC, and the Heathlander Golf Shoe. Both are waterproof, really comfortable, and look nice. The Heathlander Golf Shoe, a spikeless offering that also has an aggressive outsole, sells for $190 and has a one-year waterproof warranty.
Meanwhile, the spiked Payntr Eighty Seven SC is waterproof but doesn’t put a warranty on it, and sells for $200.
That puts the OG3 Pro right in the ballpark for price, but it offers the best waterproof warranty of that bunch. With the zero drop and wide toe box features, I’d also favor the OG3 Pro for comfort, but truthfully, I’d be giddy to trek the course in any of the three.
Through that lens, $199 for the TRUE OG3 Pro is a good investment. They’re excellent shoes that are designed for comfort and built to last. And if you do make that investment, you won’t have to replace them anytime soon.

Final Verdict: Would I Buy Them Again?
I have around 20 pairs of golf shoes on the shelf in my garage. If a shoe bandit broke in and stole every single pair tonight, would I spend my own money to replace the TRUE OG3 Pro?
You bet I would.
I’d replace those 20 pairs of shoes with two pairs. I’d replace one pair of lightweight, breathable, comfortable shoes to get me through the 90-degree mid-summer rounds. That would most likely be the PUMA Ignite Fasten8.
Then I’d get one pair of waterproof, comfortable, walkable shoes for the spring and fall, when conditions can range anywhere from low 40s, wet, muddy and slippery, to high 70s with maybe a little dew.
Despite tough competition from the aforementioned Payntr Eighty Seven SC, Heathlander, and even the ECCO BIOM H4, I’d buy the TRUE OG3 Pro.
In my experience, they give the best combination of comfort, performance on the course, confidence in the quality and waterproofing, and style.
