Hoover Dam From Helicopter
Going to Las Vegas doesn't mean you have to take along a boatload of money to enjoy yourself. Even if you just go there for the gambling, you can still enjoy other recreations that are offered in Sin City. Daytime or nighttime, you'll be able to spend a lot of time without spending a lot of cash.

Dam, That's Huge

Take a drive a few minutes east of Las Vegas on the I-93 highway during daylight hours and visit one of the 10 top visitor attractions in the United States, Hoover Dam. Get there in the morning and take the $11 tour that will show you the history of the dam and get you inside the walls for a very personal experience.

On your way back from the Hoover Dam, you will enter Boulder City where the Boulder City Municipal Golf Course is located. Book a tee time at least a week prior to your Las Vegas vacation. This course is par with most of the expensive golf courses located in and around Las Vegas. Plush fairways, gripping rough and fast greens make for a golfing experience you will want to revisit again and again. Green fees start at around $35 after 11 a.m. on weekends.

The Fremont Street Experience

The Fremont Street Experience The Fremont Street Experience

Coming back from your full day of touring and golfing, stop off at Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas and take in some of the live performances going on every hour. There are bands and solo performers playing music up and down the entire length of the street, and each hour during the night, a light show overhead dances from end to end with scenes of starships, guitars, bikini clad women and all sorts of images that provoke a sense of euphoria. If you've never been downtown, you must go and see it for yourself. You'll want to come back because themes change throughout the year so there's always an excuse to stay in Las Vegas.
