Introduction to Golf Professional, Brent Franklin

Meet Golf Professional Brent Franklin

Hi, I am Brent Franklin with McGetrick Golf Academy here in Colorado and I want to tell you a little bit of how I got started teaching or how I grew up. I am from Canada, I grew up playing hockey and golf combined, I went to university on a golf scholarship and started playing over there, I was a three time All American at university and as I continue on in golf I got ranked in the top 125 Players in the Sony Rankings in the world, so I have a little bit of experience on how to play when you are under the gun and a little bit nervous. I have just started teaching the general public about four or five years ago. I started in Colorado and have found myself here at the McGetrick Golf Academy here in Denver.

Golf Philosophy - Swing Your Club on Plane

Hopefully if there is anything I can do to help you with your game, I have some playing experience to back up what I say, my philosophy is very simple in terms of teaching. There are two things that can happen with your golf swing once you get set up properly, that would be three I guess, one is you get set up properly, you swing the club in plane around your body and in sequence. That is it. You swing your club on plane around your body and in sequence with your body. If you can get those things going there is really not that much that can go wrong. If ever I can help you feel free to call us at the McGetrick Golf Academy and I would love to help you in the future.
