Course in terrible condition, half of the fairways have fungus or burned out, almost unplayable. The greens were a aerated and dressed, so un-puttable. A nice course if they can get it in shape, but don't waste your money right now.

Played 7/17/12 for the first time. Beautiful golf course that provides a great challenge. Can't beat the surrounding scenery. Greens are tough & make you think about putts. Great course to play for an initial round, but I look forward to future rounds as there are a lot of little course nuisances that show themselves a little late the 1st go round. All in all, one of the better courses I've played in the area & will go back! One last thing, you need to keep the ball in play & fairways are narrow & areas outside fairways are VERY unforgiving.

Difficult but fun. Expect to lose several balls. If you stray from the fairway you will be penalized if you don't hit a good recovery. Greens firm and fast. Some bad areas on the fairways, probably due to the heat of late summer. #13 is the hardest par 5 I have played. #11 is considered one of the hardest par 4's in the area.

Clubhouse is very nice. Had some problems with our cart. Extremely difficult to walk, I wouldn't consider it.

Go play it!

WOW!!!! Hands down the most beautiful course I have ever played. The views on the front nine are like something out of a story book. The fairways and greens were impecible. This is easily a $100 plus golf course in Massachusetts. Very friendly and accomidating staff!!! This course is a MUST!!

Rating over 100 courses, I rarely give 5 stars to a course. The front nine is simply spectacular...every hole (except maybe the powerline on 9) offers something special. The first hole gives a "far as you can see" view of Lebanaon County from the green. The 95 yard Par 3 5th Hole features an island green amongst tall reeds and the Par 5 7th hole looks like something out of the PGA tour. The drop-off from the tee to green on the Par 4 10th is "eye-popping" and the next three holes are equally "jaw-dropping". The last few holes disappoint after all the challenging set-ups beforehand, but still warrant attention. The tee boxes allowed for me to play my own game and the greens at this time of the year were slower than normal I'm sure. The most wonderful part of the entire deal was that for a premier course in PA, I paid only $25 including the cart. Your first will lose balls. This is definitely worth a stop!

course was in excellent shape. greens were fast in the afternoon. staff was amenable and helpful. high handicappers should avoid this course, if they have vicious slices, unable to hit out of high rough, and trouble with fast and undulating greens. very challengiing. breathtaking view from no. 1 fairway into lebanon valley. I shot a 6+, with plenty of luck-tee shot hitting tree and dropping in play, sand wedge shot that was chunked, barely made it over the ravine on no. 11. several approach shots took fortuitous hops. enjoyed the round, scenery and challenge. great course for single handicappers. use every club. distinctive level of golf at a fair price.

Played on 5/16/09. This is a TOUGH course. Very scenic and each hole is different. I used basically every club in my bag, which I haven't done for a long time. The new club house is nice, but had some quirks. They weren't able to yet process credit cards at the snack bar and their liquor license was suspended.

They apparently switched 10 and 1, so now the front is the side with the massive lake and the back is more "through the trees." I would definitely play here again. It would have been nice to see an aeration rate since it had just been done, but still. Good course for under $70.

This is a great golf course. It has spectacular variety in the holes, and it is one of the most scenic courses I have ever played. If you enjoy classic Dye design features, you'll enjoy this course. In addition, it is an even better play when you consider the price. I highly recommend this course.

I finally played Iron Valley for the first time! I really enjoyed the round. The front and back nine play very differently, but I think that I liked the back a little better. The course is challenging, but not unfair. A full club house will be a nice addition. If you haven't played "The Valley" yet, you need to! Wait until you see the view from the 10th green!

Beautiful and challenging course. Front 9 plays as a challenging and tight course, with the back 9 playing like a links style course. I routinely take out-of-town guests to play the course and all leave happy...

This is truly a gem. It has to be one of the nicest public courses in the state. Every hole is completely different from the one before. It is very challenging yet fair if you hit the ball solid and relatively straight. Unbelievable views from nearly every tee box and green. Great condition with difficult multi-tier and sloped greens. All my playing partners and I love this course!!

Excellent Course, Very Tough!

This is an excellent course that will challenge any golfer.

The course offers many different tees (ranging from 4905 up to 7026 yards) so it easily accomidates any length player, but be warned... this course can be VERY tough. On most holes, if you're more than about 10 yards off the fairway (which is often narroy to begin with) you'll find serious trouble. You could be off a cliff, down an old mine pit, in the woods or in some seriously deep wildgrass. If you're not used to really tough courses, be prepared to get a bit frustrated, but it's well worth the experience. Like any well designed course, good shots are rewarded and bad shots are seriously punished.

The view from the #10 tee is truly breathtaking. This course is very unique and well worth the trip.

Currently there isn't much in the way of clubhouse facilities, but the course is still new and I understand the current small structure is only temporary with a grand facility soon to be built.

You HAVE to play this course!

I can go on for quite awhile about this course.
The bottom line is - You have to play this course!
If you like to play different courses with your golfing partners and are looking for a great place with absolute beautiful scenery, please go to Iron Valley. The pictures on the website are nice, but do not do the course justice. It is much nicer 'LIVE'.
If you are looking for a cozy place to stay in the area try Highmeadows Campground in Hummelstown (right next to Hershey). It is about a 25 minute ride to the course. They have awesome cabins and a very clean shower/restroom facility.
Tip for course - make sure you look to see where you need to place your ball! Place the ball right and you will have a great time.
