I've played this course numerous times over the years and nothing really changes other than the pond on #10 and the additional fairway bunkers on #1 which happened years ago now.

Simple course to play most holes are open. Numbers 3, 6, 8, 11, 12 and 15 provide only real challenges on score card. They can make the greens pretty fast here, but last time I played they were very slow. Greens are generally small. Par 5s are reachable even from the back tees if you have decent length. Course can be walked.

Course seems to be full of senior golfers early on weekdays. They must know their audience pretty well as the course is usually busy.

Playing Iron Valley on the same day may slight my opinion a bit...but Fairview is not a multiple star course...it is a "middle of the line" course. The pines give the course character, but the course is wide open, with gradual hills ,few strategic traps, and long holes. It compares favorably to many older public courses in the area, but doesn't offer anything unique to it. Paying $20 total including cart made it a great deal for a few hours of golf. Nice mainstream course...definitely worth a play.

a well-balanced course with short and long holes. par 5's are reachable in two for long hitters. course is fairly well tree-lined, but ample room for shots, so spray hitters have a chance. fairways are lacking sand traps. greens are usually in excellent, shape, holding approach shots, and have average putting speed. greens are sloped but only nos. 11,12, and 15 have steep slopes. tee boxes and fairways are in excellent shape. the staff is friendly. no drinking water on the course, when I played. a nice walking course, sprinkled with dogleg holes, water, downhill tee shots. appears somewhat easy, but has surprising challenges. always very busy on weekend mornings. competitively priced. could use upgrading on small bathroon and entire clubhouse, and snack bar.

Today,I went to the course with my Father in law and Uncle in law. I only heard good things about the course, so we decided to give it a try. Absoultely, one of the best courses I have played this year. The fairways were tight and the greens were clean as a whip with no fall foilage on them. The grounds crew have maintained a great course. It's a gem! I will be back. Shot an 86 and pissed off my father in law. Truly a Great Day!

I love this course. Everytime I have been here the course is in beautiful shape. The scenery is great and the layout is challenging. This is one of nicest public courses in the area. The staff is alway pleasant and eager to help. The electric carts make for a quiet fast moving day. A few club washers scattered around the course are a nice touch. I look forward to every round played here at Fairview. Great Job Jonsey.

Fairview is incredible maintenance wise, there is never a problem unless a firetruck runs over the green (literally a couple years ago). Has the best rates and is the best course for a golfer like me.

Very well maintained

Fairview is the perfect golf course for the 'average' golfer. The course is always very well maintained. I've played other courses that cost twice as much that are not maintained to Fairview's standards.

The course itself is nothing special, but each hole is unique and elevation changes keep things interesting. With the exception of #8 (where the fairway is carved out of some woods) there generally isn't too much trouble if you miss the fairway on your tee shot with most holes lined by a low to medium density of deciduous trees intermixed with some evergreens.

Experienced golfers will likely find Fairview a bit on the easy side compared to some nearby courses (i.e. Iron Valley) but for the average golfer (i.e. handicap 10+) Fairview consistently provides for excellent play and an enjoyable experience.

Top shelf conditions...

this place is always in immaculate condition... greens are consistently good...

i try and play here weekly, and have yet to be dissapointed with the condition...

course does not play hard, but there is OB to the left of several holes... not an issue for the average player who miises right... (course favors this type of miss actually)...

electric carts are a huge plus too, they get up and go... ;-)

Nice job on the course Jimmy, keep up the good work...!

Easy on the nerves

Average difficulty. Plays somewhat short. A good course for the average player, and thats most of us. No water that comes into play except for slightly on two par 3's, 9 and 18. A non-stressful" golf course.
