The GM BILL KLIMKIEWICZ is a total @$!*%. He treats his employees like total dog @$!*%. He is rude and inconsiderate. He doesn't care about customer concerns one bit. Dont golf here

Looked forward to playing this course for years, but was extremely disappointed when I did. The course is way overused and way overrated.

Our group of travelling seniors played here 11-20-07 for the winter rate of $37, which is a GREAT deal for a course of this quality. Despite a surfeit of fallen leaves (cleared from the fairways), the course was in very fine shape, and played honest, with no gimmickry. Nice design, flowing through tree-lined fairways, with homes visible, but not intrusive. Greens are moderately sized, and were medium fast when we played. Bunkers were a bit too firm, due to recent rains, but we coped. Course is walkable for those in reasonable shape. Scorecard is EXCELLENT: has hole and green diagrams, and is very helpful for first-timers. A very nice touch. Pro shop is very well stocked with quality merchandise at what I felt were quite reasonable prices. Clubhouse staff was extraordinarily helpful, and welcomed our patronage. Snack bar was closed for the season (on weekdays), so we couldn't do our usual post-round snack, and the township is DRY, but the club allows bringing on one's own adult beverages. Give this course a well as it's sister, Iron Forge.

Pricey but excellent!

I love this course...I just wish I could afford to play more often. I see they have raised the price since the last time I played. Its a shame because a lot of people are missing out on a great golf course. Skip going out to dinner one weekend and play a round instead. You'll be glad you did. The fairways feel like carpet and you can actually take a divot on approach shots like you are supposed to do.

Great course

I have had the oppurtunity to play this course many times throughout the summer this year, and I have to say this is one of the best I have played. All around it is a very good test of golf, though it is not unfair in any way. The fairways can be narrow, and the greens can be a little challenging but it is a very fun course to play. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Greg- Greencastle

It's been a while since I've golfed here...but was shocked that nobody reviewed what is perhaps the best golf course in southcentral PA (though I rated Whitetail better). This is golf at its finest, from the clubhouse to the course itself...challenging but pleasing to play. I find (as a local) the price to be a little out of my range as do many of my golfing buddies...not very friendly cost-wise to the locals. If $$$ is not a problem, it would be foolish not to give both Penn National courses a try. It's the closest thing to a "major league" golf course in the area!
