A friend of mine and I played here on 6/17/09. After nearly 2 solid weeks of rain, the course was still in excellent shape. The greens were excellent, despite being a touch slow due to the rainy conditions. The staff was extremely friendly and cordial. The price was excellent at $29 (a mid-week, after 2 special). Fairways are like greens at most places. I really liked the links style course. There is constant wind blowing and the bunkers are placed strategically to provide a lot of risk/reward shots. As a few previous reviews, you need to stay on the fairways, the rough is thick. I would definitely recommend a few balls off of the range as some of the most difficult holes are early in your round. Overall, a bargain to play in the weekday afternoons. My personal favorite was the 12th hole 286 yard dogleg left. You can go straight at it and land between the two bunkers if you dare. Being from that area, the scenary is great. This modern course reminds me of watching the guys play in the British Open on the tube.

As a local...this course is out of my price range. The course, as already stated, is a links style course, wide open, long grasses next to long rough. I certainly didn't find this course unfair, but not overly challenging. Traps were strategically placed, but not being a long ball striker, they didn't come into play all that often. The sight of homes abounds on this course, so though open, you are not really "out there". It is a golf community after-all. Pace of play was wonderful. Found the last four holes the best part of the round. The signature hole Par 4 15th makes you hit the perfect drive with a pond and trap surrounding the green for the next shot. The 190 yard Par 3 16th uphill and the 555 yard Par 5 also uphill play long. The 18th tee option is a challenge as prior written. With the right price...I would highly recommend this course...but right now, it's too upscale to frequent it!

Links in a PA Valley

Superb course! Very linksy, no trees that should impede one's shot, but lotsa bunkers, some water, and excellent use of elevation changes. Played ere 3-27-07, fairways were being aerated, but were otherwise in good shape, bunkers were all well kept, and the greens were in very good shape...rolled true and fairly fast. Terrific design, with some real risk-reward shots, like the tee shot on #18, where you choose which side of a massive fairway bunker to try to hit. Clubhouse staff is excellent, and the snack bar is very nice,'s a DRY township, so if you want a post-round beer, bring your own! Highly recommend!!

Iron Forge

A fine golf course for both day trips from the surrounding areas as well as to spend a weekend playing some extra rounds. The Iron Forge course has a links feel to it, with open fairways and windswept greens; not a tree in sight. However the greens are fast(ususally running 10-11 on the meter) and the rough is deep, making driving accuracy important. Long Par 5's and Par 3's as well as some shorter but tighter Par 4's make for a fine, competitive course.
