Challenging Scenic Well Maintained

With the exception of the bunkers, the course was in great condition. The people were very friendly and the greens were true. Had the bunkers been recently raked the course couldn't have been better

Fun course that is challenging and gives you a ton of variety on each hole. Make sure to rent a cart.

However, the marshalls are complete tools, so make sure to keep up pace. Of course, when you are warned on the tee of the second hole and not trailing the group ahead of you at all, your day is pretty much ruined.

Targeting the group with the 2 women golfers in it is not acceptable.

I had never played Wildwood before, and my group made the mistake of not renting carts for this course. Needless to say, we spent the entire time walking, or just plain running up and over hills. It got to the point where this began to effect our game play, as we were trying not to drag and hold up the party behind ours --which was smaller, had carts, and were much better players . . .
In spite of feeling rushed and a tad winded from the constant jogging by the time the back nine rolled around, this was still a beautiful, enjoyable course, and we will be back again after some practice --and we will be renting carts. Not recommended for beginners --stick with McKay & Killarney West for a little while first.

2008, Not the same course it used to be from 2005!
Marshal there is a huge ego freak and annoying!

So we used to play here all the time back in 2003-2005. It "was" great! Well in August of 2008 it was a different story! First, second, and third hole, lawn blower wouldn't leave our fairway! Mowers all around. Delayed us at least 5 minutes each hole. Then the "marshal" came and told us to play quicker, though the delay wasn't our doing. Believe me... we play the pace! We're often the ones waiting. Then Mr. Marshal just hovered every stroke like he was some kind of cop. Seriously?! Can you say golf in peace?! Let's not forget the people behind us were cheating to keep pace. Huge altercation on hole 5. Says we can't let players play through! Pulling a big ego trip for a guy who makes $10 bucks an hour. We know what that's all about! People always play through here. What course doesn't allow that? B.S. !! So much for a peaceful day of golf with your friends! Got our money back, left. Nice course, but the marshal and his buddies are ego freaks and the definition of real chumps! We will never go there again nor would we recommend it to anyone else unless you like being hassled on every stroke.

Nice, fun course. Well worth a visit. A decent challenge and well kept. Not especially long but lots of hills. If you don't rent a cart you'll get a great workout! One of the must play courses in the area. Highly recommended!

Great value for a nicely mainained course

Although this course is somewhat out of the way it is worth the journey. It is in very fine shape although the greens are too slow for my preference. The course is not difficult and has some nice risk/reward situations. It is definately woth a shot and you most likely will want to play it again.
