Not my favorite Portland muni but decent. Good value. Probably the least challenging of the Portland munis. Good value.

I was reluctant to play this course after reading Burymore's review. I can't say what it looked like before but I found this course in great shape. The greens were recently repaired and were hard and fast. The fairways were in good shape too. Lots of mature trees to make for many challenging shots. I had a good time playing and I will definitely be back!

For being a very old course in the middle of Portland, Rose City is a good course. I like some interesting holes when I play, I don't like just straight fairway followed by another straight fairway. Rose City does have some nice drops in elevation, dog-legs, water and sand hazards. The club house is a little shabby and the grounds can be a little trashed but the place has been around since the 20's.

Worst full length course in the Portland area

Its a pure municipal course, so there are no expected amenities, however the mainenance is horrible, and the course itself is so run down as to be almost unplayable. It is a pleasant walk though, and easily accesable in the Portland area.

Rose City

Nice place to play on a weekday afternoon right after work. Not the nicest course out there, but for the price, it is a quiet, decent place to play.
