The course has made a remarkable turn-a-round. A must play!!

All of these reviews from 2008 are old and inaccurate. I have played several times over the past few months (as well as other courses in the area) and Salem Glen is by far the best. You can choose your level of difficulty from multiple tees and the greens are like glass, true and fast.

Don't let the reviews fool you, this course has taken a serious dive in the past few years. Course is in below average shape and the layout is pretty average. This is a typical over hyped course that is not taken care of worth a crap. I have no idea why people play here when they charge more than Tanglewood which puts this goat track to shame.

If you're a local homer that lives in Salem Glen then play this sucker all you want... if you're visiting or haven't played it yet, don't bother, you'll be disappointed and over spend for a lousy round of golf.

Sorry folks, we call it as we see it.

Great course, greens coming back but still pretty bad.

Reviewed February 15, 2008

The condition of the fairways was a good as could be in winter, the greens however showed some signs of trouble spots. That said they are very quick and for the most part fairly true.

Salem Glen

The course has a magnificently challenging layout, and is placed easily within reach of Winston-Salem High Point or Greensboro. I recommend it for those looking to hurt your handicap, and your wallet. It is worth the drive if you can afford the green and cart fees. The clubhouse is first rate. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Great fairways. Greens need work

This is a nice design and layout, as well as having great conditions off of the tees and fairways. The greens were recently punched and were spotty. They could use some serious work. But for the price you can't beat it. Until now I just figured that to play a Jack Nicklaus design you had to be a millionaire. This is the exception to that rule.
