Vice Tour Review: It Dominated One Category Against 43 Balls
Vice Tour impressed from tee to green, and it's got a "Best Value" crown to prove it.

Most $25 a dozen balls force you to choose. Distance or stopping power. Accuracy or greenside control.
Vice Tour somehow threads the needle to deliver everything most players are shopping for. It’s one of the best balls of 2026 for beginners, high-handicappers, women, and seniors. That’s because it’s one of the straightest and longest balls, and the very best value golf ball of 2026.
We’ve got the data to back it up.
How We Tested Vice Tour
We put Vice Tour through our published golf ball testing protocols using the SkyTrak ST Max launch monitor. That means human swings under strict bands for swing speed, impact quality, and delivery dynamics.
To see performance from tee to green, we test driver, 7-iron, and 50-yard wedge shots with each ball.
We tested 43 golf balls in total for 2026 then translated the raw data into 1-10 scores in the categories that matter most to your game. That lets you easily see how each ball stacks up to the field.

Cover: Surlyn
Layers: 3 Layers
Price: $29/dozen (bulk: $25/dozen, 6 dozen minimum)
Of the 43 golf balls we tested for 2026, only two were longer in our driver test than Vice Tour.
Its 3-piece construction delivers short game and approach performance that most distance balls can’t match.
Vice Tour’s stopping power proved to be stronger than all but three balls in the non-urethane class. It finished in the top half of the non-urethane class in our 50-yard wedge test as well.
All that, plus it’s one of the more accurate balls we tested. It’s easy to see why the $25-a-dozen price has golfers putting six dozen in their cart at a time.

Distance: 9.1/10

In our test at mid-90s swing speeds, Vice Tour carried 225 yards and rolled out to 247 yards, beating all but two balls in total distance.
How it gets there matters too. For a ball that claims a “softer feel at impact” Vice Tour created plenty of ball speed. Most self-proclaimed “soft” balls ranked among the 10 slowest balls in our test, but Vice Tour was the sixth-fastest.
That ball speed took advantage of a mid-launch and mid-spin profile to maximize distance. Vice Tour had a peak height slightly below optimal in our test. Players who launch the ball a little higher may hit the perfect apex and get even more carry distance from Vice Tour.
Faster swing speed players, however, may consider a lower-spin option. Vice Tour’s mid-spin profile is great for moderate swing speeds, but faster swing speeds could create too much spin for optimal performance off the tee.

Distance off the tee is great, but converting longer drives into Greens in Regulation is what really leads to lower scores.
So how well does Vice Tour hold greens? Among its non-urethane covered peers, it’s better than all but three others.
With a mid-spin profile, Vice Tour flew to a higher peak height and landed steeper than more than half of all balls we tested. That arms bogey golfers and higher handicap players with all the stopping power they need without sacrificing distance or accuracy.

Wedge Control: 7.9/10
Vice Tour delivers the best combination of distance, accuracy and short game control of any golf ball under $30 of 2026.
Players shooting in the 90s and above typically prioritize distance and accuracy, but you still need to get up and down to save par and bogey to shoot lower scores.
In our 50-yard wedge test, Vice Tour produced plenty of spin and proved it can be an asset around the greens, not a liability.

Out of all 43 golf balls we tested, Vice Tour ranked in the top 25% in our accuracy test. It’s not one of the few balls that does extra work to keep you in the fairway (or just in bounds) but it’s strong enough at resisting sidespin that you may notice those slices and hooks are a little less severe.

Vice Tour is the best value golf ball of 2026 based on our testing.
Simply put, no other golf ball delivers a better combination of tee-to-green performance and price than Vice Tour.
When you buy in bulk, it’s just $25 a dozen, and our test proved it’s a great fit for virtually any player who shoots in the 90s or higher.
Who is Vice Tour For?
With its combination of budget price, top-tier distance, and performance into and around the greens, most recreational players can benefit from gaming Vice Tour.
It can maximize distance off the tee for moderate to slower swing speed players. Its stopping power and greenside control give beginners and high-handicappers plenty of chances to hit more greens in regulation or scramble for par.
Mid-handicap players and better, and those with faster swing speeds (around 100 MPH or faster with driver) should likely consider a lower-spinning ball off the tee or a higher-spinning one around the greens.
For virtually every other golfer, Vice Tour deserves a spot on your shortlist.
