TRUE OG CUSH Premium during GolfLink testing

The TRUE OG Cush Premium posted the highest score of any golf shoe we've course-tested. For any golfer looking for an elite golf shoe without the heavy-duty profile of a waterproof or spiked option, this is a can’t-miss new addition to the market.

TRUE is grabbing the attention of golfers who value comfort and weight matter more than armor, and after playing 54 holes in them, including 36 walking, plus wearing them around town for several days, I agree.

Here's how the OG Cush Premium earned a 93/100, and what you give up to get it.

How We Tested the TRUE OG Cush Premium

Every pair of shoes we review is course-tested for at least 36 holes and rated for comfort, traction, waterproofing, style, and value. Our hands-on process ensures you get honest, consistent recommendations you can trust. Learn more about how we test golf shoes.

I walked 36 holes in the OG Cush Premium and rode another 18. I also wore them for several days around town, including walks around the neighborhood. Because the OG Cush Premium isn't waterproof, we didn't score waterproofing. Its total score is based on the categories that apply.

The OG Cush Premium scored 93/100, the highest score of any golf shoe we've course-tested.

TRUE OG Cush Premium Comfort: 10/10

Zero-drop shoes feel different, especially if you're used to a traditional shoe with a raised heel. Zero drop just means your heel and the ball of your foot sit at the same height, like walking barefoot but with a lot more foam under you.

The OG Cush Premium pairs that platform with an extra-wide toe box and TRUE's Wanderlux cushioning, which was built specifically for walking. The result is the most comfortable walk you could ask for.

Then there's the weight. At 315 grams, the OG Cush Premium is the lightest shoe we've ever put on the scale, and it's not even very close. The TRUE OG3 Pro, which we named the best overall shoe for walking, weighs 376 grams. The Payntr Sport Proto RS weighs 400. That's enough of a difference for your feet to notice on the 18th hole.

Traction: 8/10

Look at the outsole and you'd guess these shoes won't give you much grip. It's modest, and that's why it's not a 10.

But the traction through the golf swing is much better than the outsole suggests. Sure, it gives up some ground on days you'd want maximum traction, and that's the tradeoff you’d expect to make for a shoe this light and this comfortable.

Style: 10/10

Style is personal, so I encourage you to digest the images and give it your own score. But for me, it’s a 10. Less is more, and the OG Cush Premium leans into less. Subtle accents on the traditional white/navy colorway, with the gum sole and understated branding are executed to my liking. The raised dead golfer emblem on the heel is the cherry on top.

The style and sole of the OG Cush Premium also works off the course. I wore them for several days around town, and they're just as good for grocery shopping or walking the dog around the neighborhood as they are on the course.

Value: 9/10

The OG Cush Premium checks in comfortably under $200, at $179. When compared to its sibling, the OG3 Pro – which has dominated our golf shoe rankings for two years – it’s $20 less, not to mention it weighs less (though it’s not waterproof).

While $179 is still a meaningful investment – which is what kept the value score from perfect-10 status – it’s less than many competitors despite turning in the highest score to date.
