Bridgestone e6 Soft is made to provide soft feel, long distance and great value.

Doing all three of those things well would make it a great go-to option for millions of weekend warriors.

So we put it through rigorous testing. Here’s what we found.

How We Tested Bridgestone e6 Soft

We put the Bridgestone e6 Soft through our published golf ball testing protocols using the SkyTrak ST Max launch monitor. That means human swings under strict bands for swing speed, impact quality, and delivery dynamics.

To see performance from tee to green, we test driver, 7-iron, and 50-yard wedge shots with each ball.

We tested 43 golf balls in total for 2026 then translated the raw data into 1-10 scores in the categories that matter most to your game. That lets you easily see how each ball stacks up to the field.

Bridgestone e6 Soft brings a lot to the table. It out-performs the average 2-piece budget ball from tee to green, but its true superpower is accuracy.

Bridgestone has a knack for creating balls that resist sidespin. Three of the top four most accurate balls in our 43-ball test come from Bridgestone, and e6 Soft is at the top of the pack.

Moderate to slower swing speed players who care most about distance and value, but still don’t want to give up short game performance, might find e6 Soft checks all the boxes.

One of the most fascinating things about testing 43 golf balls then comparing them head-to-head is seeing the different paths that different balls take to achieve the same thing.

For example, Bridgestone e6 Soft was pretty slow in terms of ball speed in our driver test, ranking among the 10 slowest for ball speed. Despite that, it was in the top 10 longest balls we tested.

How can that be?

Rather than cranking out top-end ball speed (soft balls rarely do that), e6 Soft relies on a combination of low spin and high launch to eke out extra yards. Our testing proved it works. With our mid-90s swing speed, e6 Soft out-drove a ball that clocked over three miles per hour more ball speed.

This is a good reminder that ball speed is only part of the equation. Ball flight is just as important.

Stopping Power: 7.9/10

When you think of stopping power in the iron game, you probably think of high spin. And yes, spin is the easiest way for a ball to stop on the greens, but when you need a ball to be low-spin so it can be soft and long, you have to find a different way to get it to actually stop on the greens.

Bridgestone e6 Soft uses a strong peak height and respectable descent angle to make up for its low-spin profile, and it’s a reasonable tradeoff for a ball built for distance and soft feel.

In our 7-iron test, e6 Soft rolled out an average of 10 yards, which is good for a soft, two-piece ball, and a little above average overall.

You don’t play e6 Soft for its stopping power, but if you’re shopping for a soft ball, it holds its own.

Wedge Control: 7.5/10

Most golfers know that non-urethane covered balls have a lower ceiling around the greens, and our testing made it crystal clear. The worst 10 balls in our 50-yard test were all ionomer-covered balls that cost less than $30 a dozen.

Bridgestone e6 Soft launched a startling 38.1°, so high that we had to double-check the launch monitor numbers mid-test with a different ball. That extreme height helped it stop faster than most balls in its class despite low spin.

It’s adequate for a budget ball, but players who truly prioritize wedge control should step up to a urethane-covered ball.

It’s up to the golfer to hit the ball straight, but Bridgestone seems to have figured out a way to assist. How else can you explain that three of the straightest four balls from our 43 ball test all come from Bridgestone?

And e6 Soft? It led the pack (tied with Bridgestone e12 Straight and Vice Pro) at resisting sidespin and flying straighter.

Its 21 RPM of sidespin with driver is simply absurd, and helped e6 Soft stay less than four yards from the centerline.

If you want to cut down on a slice or hook (which I’d bet describes millions of golfers), e6 Soft is an excellent option.

Let’s face it, Bridgestone e6 Soft is a distance ball, and that category inherently appeals to budget shoppers.

So here’s the fact that matters most: e6 Soft was one of the longest balls under $25 of our entire test, just four inches away from locking down the top spot.

Plus, it’s as accurate as they come and you don’t have to buy in bulk to get the budget-friendly price.

Who is Bridgestone e6 Soft For?

Any player seeking distance, accuracy and value over greenside performance would be a great candidate for e6 Soft.

That’s why it’s a great option for beginners, high-handicappers, and slow swing speed players. Golfers who are breaking 90 consistently may benefit more from a higher-spin ball that offers more iron and wedge control.

Everyone else can enjoy hitting longer, straighter shots without paying the premium prices that today’s tour balls charge.
