Video Golf Tip | Katherine Marrin: Introduction
By Katherine Marren

Hi, I am Katherine Marren from the Pebble Beach Golf Academy. I am also on the instruction panel for Golf For Women Magazine and a Top 50 Teacher. I am a PGA Professional and I have been teaching golf for almost 20 years. At the Pebble Beach Golf Academy we teach golfers of all ages and abilities. We use state of the art technologies to help our students learn and improve. Locally I am probably known best for teaching good club players to reduce their handicaps a few more strokes but I also love teaching women, beginners and juniors. My student lessons encompass three main points. Full swing instruction, short game scoring and on course playing. We also work hard on practice plans and practice management. I love to teach golf. I am lucky to fill my passion and work at a world famous resort. I hope that you find these tips useful and enjoyable. Thanks for watching and if you are ever on the Monterey Peninsula stop and say hello.

Hitting from Deep Rough Use a steeper swing with a slightly open clubface, but make sure you get back on the fairway
Clubface Alignment Having your clubface continually aligned open or shut forces you to manipulate your swing, get into good habits by practicing with a board or shaft pointing at your target line and then setting your clubface perpendicular to the board to get used to looking at a perfectly aligned clubface
Uphill Lies for Juniors If kids are going to play golf then they need to know how to hit all the shots, so teach them to hit different lies out on the golf course
