Loved the course so much that my wife and I played it twice. Conditions were superb and the scenery is breathtaking. I live near Longaberger in Ohio and play it once or twice a year, but this course is every bit as good. Since it was a holiday weekend the play was relatively slow, but who cares when the surroundings are so beautiful.

Great Course. I hit a hole in one on #6, using a five wood

I just got back from the gladesprings resort and played 36 holes on the stonehaven course. The course is unbelievable. The views are breathtaking from every tee box. If you want to golf on a course basically by yourself with no one in front or behind you except your outing this is the place to go. It is like owning your own golfcourse. The only bad thing about the course was they just aerated the course a week or two before we played. The down side to this resort is you are stuck using the onsite bar and grill called Bunkers. This place was the pits. The overpriced food was terrible and the service stunk. I would not go back to this place just because of the terrible service. If our group goes back next year we will bring our own food and eat in. The craziest thing about their service is they just don't seen to care!!!

October 2007: FIRST: DO NOT RELY ON GPS TO GUIDE YOU TO THIS COURSE; Something is screwed up------ up there or down here !! Your GPS will lead you to a little dirt side road which is NOT the entrance to Glade Springs Resort!!
We played this course in the first week of October and the condition of the course was very good/Excellent; Green Fee is rather restrictive unless you are a guest of the resort. On Course service is non-existent; restaurant is expensive; Pro shop is "stocked" but not "well stocked"; Staff is Friendly; Course Starts out rather Easily but increases in difficulty with each hole; this is a very scenic and "feeling of privacy" course; Bentgrass fairways; Greens are medium to fast; dramatic elevation changes.

This course was very of the most picturesque that i've ever played. The course was in pretty good shape, although I thought the cobb was better. The greens on stonehaven were not real good....looks like they've been used a lot. I think glade needs to focus on service..they ahve great courses but their service is very much lacking. The food on the course was expensive and not good at all. the sandwiches were dried out and tasted old. They had no drink carts on teh water in the water coolers and only one option for drinks at the turn, and they were out of most of it. If you are looking for a great course, this is it, but don't expect too much by way of friendliness and amenities on teh course.

my beloved stonehaven

The title says it all. This is the best golf course in the state as far as I'm concerned, and so far its the best golf course I've ever had the priviledge of playing. The scenary is second to none especially in the fall which is when I've played it the last few times. The course looks quite daunting from the tee boxes, but plays much easier than it looks. The greens are what youd expect from such a high end course, impecable. the fairways are beautiful. and the bunkers have the consistency of powdered sugar. I recomend this course to every golfer I meet so go give it a try.
