The 18-hole "Piedmont" course at the Piedmont Club facility in Haymarket, Virginia features 7,001 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74.4 and it has a slope rating of 144 on Bent grass. Designed by Thomas Fazio, ASGCA, the Piedmont golf course opened in 2001. Invited manages this facility, with Matt Sim as the General Manager.

I used to belong to this course but had to move. I highly recommend this course. Great course, lots of fun, and it never got old.

I play this course every year as part of the Member - Guest tournament and really enjoy it. If you keep your ball in play, then the course difficulty is greatly reduce (isn't it always?). But if you start going off-line, the course is very penal. The rough is long and thick, grwatly incrfeasing the challenge of the course.

The greens are usually fast and slippery. The only "low spots" on the course for me are 14 and 15, which seem to be fairly uninspired, standard Par 4 holes.

The 18th hole is a spectacular Par 5.

Highly recommended course.
