This is two courses built in one area ... I think the East is tougher (some great par 3s) than the West, and has better views. It can be a little loud since it's near the turnpike, but great holes make it worth it.

Ok, Pulling up to this course it looked great, But once i seen the green fee and then seen the condition of the course i thought wow this is probably one of the worste courses i was ever on, EVERYTHING was dry, The greens were very? well The course sucked and so did everything els about it, It should be marked as a dump instead of a golf course but thats just my opinion p.s. if i could give this rating NO STARS i would

No way around it, possibly one of the worst golf courses in New Jersey. Fairways always either dirt or dead grass, tee boxes are like hitting off cement and I don't think any of the holes have anything that could be labeled as such cause they look just like the fairways. The one positive are the greens if you compare it to the rest of the course but they are from perfect as well. Middlesex County should be ashamed of this mess! The reviewers below must have been drunk while they played this enviromental mess, they must not have played on the fairways all day so how could they see them? Actually, you could play this course sober and still not see the fairways because they don't exist on this dirt field.

All I can say is, what potential thses two courses have if only someone would recognized it.

This is a GREAT county golf facility. It has a large driving range, two practice green (one of which you can practice chipping), a restaurant, lockers (yearly rental), hot dog cart on the turn, and reasonable rates for registered Middlesex county residents. I like playing the east course as a change of pace from the west. Compared to many municipal golf courses, it is in great shape.

Not that bad. The fairways of the course are diverse. i have played here for more than one year and still like to play here. Peter Jiang

I have been going to Tamarac for 10 years. I can only tolerate it for practice. There truely is not one good feature on the two courses .Traps are a mess,Greens are a mess,Fairways are a mess, Tee boxes are a mess. The place has no " True Golf atmosphere".The new prices are just dumb. (the old ones were to high to begin with)It is a shame because the west has so much potential as being a great "old style" layout. With so many great local courses for only a few dollars more they should be carefull.I am one of the few low hdc's the would even entertain the thought of going there.Every time i play the west i dream of how i could make this course shine.Hopefully someone else will see this soon or the end is near. The game respects and expects more.

Bad Shape

Last 3-4yrs ago it was good and one of nice golf course in middlesex county. In 2006-07 condition in bad shape on fairways, bankers, green and everythings is low budget condition for municipal course.

Not very good!

Played this course for first time in many years and it will be many years before I play it again. Greens weren't cut, weeds on the greens, tees, fairways and rough a mess. With all the nice courses in surrounding counties, this course is strictly about cost. If you want to practice go to Tamarack if you want to play golf go to Monmouth, Mercer, Somerset or Morris counties.
