Terrible round. 6 hours on a Friday. Course was in terrible shape. Rangers were rude when we complained about the pace of play. 3-4 groups on every hole. Tee boxes were beat up and there were brown spots and weeds all over the rough. Would not recomend to anyone!

Nice Pete Dye course shoehorned (as he often does) into this property. Fairways are fairly straight so no real choices to make off the tee. Just grip and rip. Approach shots are usually pretty interesting with elevated greens. Greens are terrific. Probably the best in the area. Loads of break and on a summer day play around 11. If you hit it over 250, this is a fun course because most of your approach shots will be 120-130 on the par 4s. Depending on the wind, I think that the 18th plays the toughest. It's long and water and sand come into play on the approach. Nice course. Really great when GolfNow has a bargain. I wouldn't pay $100 to play here though.

Way overpriced for the condition. I have played this course in each of the last three years and I have never seen it in great shape. Even after a modest rainfall the traps remain full of water after several days. They try to get around $80 for a round and it is worth about half of that. The course layout and design is fantastic and the greens are nice and quick but people do not repair marks or fill in divots. If I find a deal for aroudn $40 I will go play this course but anything above that is not a value.

Course is hurting for funds and they have dramatically reduced rates to entice players on this Pete Dye course. The problem is they have failed to increase the maintenance required when you get more pay. The course has so many outings it gets torn up.

Stunning course in very good condition. Played on a Monday morning in beautiful fall weather and found the course to be visually beautiful with challenges on almost every hole. Many of the fairways leave awkward lies for second shots. Most of the holes require thinking in the tee box to set up your second shot - definitely not a grip it and rip it course. The only draw back is the high cost to play (I won a foursome, so the round was free) - not sure many people can afford to play here. But if you can, it is definitely worth it!

Too many houses. Nice layout, decent condition and slightly above average difficulty. Very overpriced and overrated. Too many other choices in Chicagoland if you want to play premium courses.

This is a wonderfully challenging course. Bad shots and bad thinking are severely penalized. Practically every hole requires you to know your game and execute your strategy -- or else. It's generally a good course for walking, except for a couple of long hauls across roads to distant tees. But it lacks many crucial amenities for walkers, to an extent I find shocking. There are NO benches -- no place to sit at all -- anywhere on the entire 18. WHY? There is ONE water fountain on each nine, and no other drinking water. WHY?? On the two hot Midwest summer afternoons when I played, there was exactly one sighting of a beverage cart. I'd play here once a week, maybe twice, if they didn't turn walking into torture.
