The 18-hole "Glen Oaks" course at the Glen Oaks Country Club facility in West Des Moines, Iowa features 7,000 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 74.9 and it has a slope rating of 144 on Bent grass. Designed by Thomas Fazio, ASGCA, the Glen Oaks golf course opened in 1994. Jeff Strahl manages the course as the General Manager.

They have a daily green fee for guests, so if you can get in more than 18 holes it's a bargain. Very wide fairways. By far the best greens in Iowa that roll very true. Scenery is rather boring. Has a mix of "easy" holes and really difficult holes where you can make bogey and feel good about it. Top 3 course in Iowa.
