South Golf Course


The 18-hole "South" course at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club facility in West Des Moines, Iowa features 7,103 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 73. The course rating is 75.4 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Other grass. Designed by Pete Dye, ASGCA/(R) Richard Jacobson, ASGCA, the South golf course opened in 1969. Matt Ruehling, PGA, CCM manages the course as the General Manager.

This is a great golf course with many awesome features. First of all the course is kept in the most perfect condition you feel like ur playing in the U.S. Open. Which brings me to the next point i believe they need to have another major here like the Senior US Open or even the US Open i think it has the difficulty and is very well maintained and nice enough for that big of an event.
