This is a very nice course. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautifully designed and awesome scenery. I live on the east coast and all of trump's courses are private. So it was cool to finally play a trump course. But beware, this course is very difficult. Other than a couple of short par 4s, every hole is a challenge. Definitely not a course for high handicappers.

I played this course when it was still Ocean Trails, a staple to the hill. It was a fab course and reasonably priced. I would not play this course, even on a benchmark birthday. So not worth bragging about.

dreamed of playing this corse... i first saw it on the golf chanel on the pga tour. looked awsome.. then i looked on the top 100 golf courses. i found it and saw that it was 400 dollars. i was descustid. donald trump is a jerk with too much money i think he should be a man and admit he has a combover. he is money crazy he cant stop if u look on the top 100 and clik on #1 they want 49 dollars for 18 holes that is what this should be not 400 fricken dollars. u suck donald trump

DO NOT spend 400 dollars to play this course. It is not worth it. I am a local who has played Trump half a dozen times, some of which before he took over, when it was Ocean Trails the course which lost three holes to the Pacific Ocean. Then, I could play all day, 45 holes for instance for 150$, and they had coupons all the time. The only way to get your money's worth is to play super twighlight. It's 75$, no one is there, and youll probably finish 13 or 14 holes (I have been able to do all 18, but I practically ran the whole thing). It's a shame that Pete Dye, or now Donald Trump (as he considers himself an architect because he added waterfalls) was not able to do more with one of the best properties for golf there is. The whole course has 3 doglegs at most and although the fairways are 30-40 yards wide, there is no rough to keep the ball from going into hazard. Drive 3 miles up the road and play Los Verdes for 10% of the cost, its got great views too!

played this course more than 3 times this year, enjoyed the course and especially the weather here because it is right on the ocean. first time I was very impressive with everything, then when visit the second and third time, found out customer service is going down dramatically. especially the third time, it was 2 months ago, played over there, few greens has sand on it, i was not notified before play. later on I emailed the general manager abt this conditions, asked him if the green has been aerified, never got a reply from him after 2 weeks until I follow up again this my second email, got a reply from him that he was too busy with some VIPS from new york and some famous PGA tour players, I am over hundreds on this email list with customer questions and concerns, and will promise to follow up with me again very soon. and so far after another 2 monthis, I have never heard from him. I am very disappointed with the basic customer service skill, especailly this surprising encounter with this highest postion manager of the facility(supposed to be over 5 star according to stands set by trump organization. and they don't seem to care abt their own customers except "vips" and "tour playeres" even though,me and my friends are just like others playing the expensive green fees, maybe this general manager forget this course's income is from us the normal consumers, and he is too busy socialize with the vips and "tour players" who don't even bring income to the table. the experience is definitely not up to par with mr.trump's standards and qualities. golf course itself is very nice, just keep the ball in play you will shot good scores, club selection is very essentials, fairway is pretty wide and remember green is break away from the mountain and into the oceans. great course, worth the money? not really especailly with this kind of a service. it supposed to be a 5 star facility by Mr. trump, but it was rated from 4 1/2 before going down to 4 at the moment by golfdigest, why? everything is driven by the people behind it, you have a good course, but the people behind are too arrogant and careless abt every customers.

$375 for miniture golf? Did you see the greens and the sand trap placements? By far, the most undulated greens I have ever played the point of disgust...unfair...where's the windmill? Sand everywhere! Hilly fairways! Hikers do have the tendency to talk in your back swing as they walk the trails. You can even hear people at the lookout point talking. After playing Pelican Hill, Bandon Dunes, and other beach front golf courses, my first impression was a boring layout. Everything is straight, no doglegs. Mind you, this course is hard enough just to get on the greens, but I have a hard time remembering which hole I just played. They tend to blend all together. Was expecting something amazing, something new. Don't let the short yardage fool you. It is long enough on the blues. Somehow I felt my golf ball didn't travel that far. Now for the good news, almost each hole has a ocean view. Now what course do you know has that? Hole #1, to me, was their signature hole. Nice concept. I wish it had more like that. Weather was great...slighly overcast in the summer time. Warm sincere workers. Price is my biggest drawback. Pelican Hill has an overall better feel. Don't think I will play it again, unless it was way lower than $375.

Great course. Employees are very friendly, make you feel welcome, course is challenging, and very pleasant on the eyes. Worth the money. I can't wait to play it again.

Trump National on the Palos Verdes Peninsula is not I repeat not for the average player. Although open to the public the green fees are as steep as any resort course out there. If you are a single digit handicapper and do not belong to a private lavish country club you might give this course a try just for that experience. The course layout is tricky and extremely challenging for an advanced/intermediate golfer and not recommended for beginners at all. The views are spectacular on this course but compared to Pebble Beach this course is a mere "Apprentice". Sorry for the poor attempt at humor lol

Overpriced and overrated. I paid $275.00 to play on a weekday. The fairways were lousy and there were maintenance people working all over the course. Greens were decent but it is a gimmicky layout with several weird and unfair holes. This course does not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Pebble Beach and will NEVER host a PGA or USGA event IMHO.
