We tested the Maxfli Tour X using our standardized golf ball testing protocol. Here's how it performed in our driver, 7-iron and 50-yard test.

All testing was conducted using our published golf ball testing methodology and reflects controlled human testing.

Test Setup Overview

  • Launch Monitor: SkyTrak ST Max
  • Ball Tested: Maxfli Tour X
  • Testing Method: Human testing within defined swing speed and impact bands
  • Shots Recorded: 12 qualifying shots per club (best 8 used for averages)
  • Environment: Indoor

Maxfli Tour X Performance Notes

At our moderate swing speeds in the low to mid 90s, that lower ball flight wasn't optimal for maximum distance. However, at faster speeds the ball launches higher. For the PXG Xtreme Tour X, that means a more optimized ball flight and more distance.

In other words, if you have a faster swing speed, you should expect a more optimized ball flight and a stronger performance in the distance category relative to competitors than our distance score illustrates.
