If you’re looking for a golf bag that looks great, performs well and won’t break the bank, here’s an option you might not know about. It’s the RevCore line from CaddyDaddy Golf.

I tested the RevCore Lux LT in every capacity over several rounds of golf over a couple weeks of testing. After all that testing, I wasn’t disappointed. Having reviewed dozens of golf bags over the past few years, this is one that has my attention. And for the price, $219, it’s one of the best values on the market, too.

Every golf bag we review is course-tested for at least 36 holes and evaluated for looks, style, performance, functionality, and value. Our hands-on process ensures you get honest, consistent recommendations you can trust.

Price: $219
Weight: 5.5 lbs
Pockets: 6
Profile: Hybrid/Carry

CaddyDaddy, which made its mark a few years ago with its extremely durable Claw gloves (you can actually wash these gloves and get more than 30 rounds out of them), has been making bags for several years, too. But up until a couple of years ago, they didn’t stand out.

Then the company examined the luxury golf bag market and figured it could make something competitive at a value price. Now CaddyDaddy offers three bags in the RevCore line, a luxury cart bag, hybrid bag, and the one I’ve put through its paces the last couple of weeks, the RevCore Lux Lightweight (LT) Stand Bag.

How We Tested the CaddyDaddy RevCore LT

I tested the RevCore Lux LT in every capacity on the golf course over several rounds of golf for a couple weeks, including carrying it for a round, using it on a push cart for a round, and using it on a cart.

CaddyDaddy RevCore Lux LT Features:

  • 5.5 lbs
  • Padded straps
  • Magnetic rangefinder pocket
  • Six pockets
  • Lined cooler pocket with drain
  • Five-way full-length dividers

This RevCore LT stand bag doesn’t fall short in performance and features. It weighs 5.5 pounds, which isn’t super lightweight, but definitely not too heavy to carry, especially if you don’t weigh it down with two dozen balls and more clubs than you need.

The straps are padded, and carrying this bag was very comfortable. It also has a good stand mechanism, which easily expands and retracts the lightweight, but sturdy legs.

The RevCore LT also has a magnetic rangefinder pocket, which you don’t find in every carry bag, but I think it’s a crucial feature. I need to get to my rangefinder (or any other measuring device) quickly, replace it easily, and have confidence that the pocket will close automatically so it doesn’t fall out somewhere on the course. The RevCore LT’s magnetic pocket is generous, lined, easy to access, and the magnet is strong.

Although there’s a RevCore Hybrid bag that’s slightly heavier and larger, the Lightweight Lux is a good hybrid option as well because it’s substantial.

Although it only has six pockets, they’re very generous. The lined waterproof valuables pouch is deep and can easily hold a wallet, a cell phone, and keys. It has a large apparel pocket, where you can store outerwear (although the large rainhood does take up a good bit of storage space). The front ball pocket is also very large, capable of holding three dozen golf balls or more if you’re the ball collector type. There’s another generous pocket on the lower left side of the bag, perfect for sunscreen, bug spray or any other necessities.

One feature I really like is the open cooler pocket that is lined and drains. You can put a couple of drinks in there, plus ice. This is great when you’re using a push cart and weight isn’t as much of a consideration.

Speaking of push carts, this bag sits well on them and is a good size. A lot of lightweight carry bags don't work well on push carts, but this bag has enough structure to it to make it a great push cart bag. Plus, it has a stay flat base (no outside kickstand to activate the legs) and a strap to bind the legs when using it with a cart.

It also works very well on a riding golf cart. A cart strap pass-through would have been a nice touch, but fortunately the upper pockets sit just below the strap line, so there isn’t much interference from the strap.

Finally, the RevCore LT comes with a five-way top with full-length dividers. I found that the clubs go in and out easily in this bag.

If you’re looking for a bag that works well in every application, you can’t go wrong with the RevCore Lux Lightweight Stand Bag. Although it’s probably geared a little more toward golfers who walk the course, this bag would work fine for players who ride most of the time, too, because it works well on golf carts, has a sleeve protector, and has plenty of storage space.

Because it’s fairly light, it’s also easy to get in and out of the back of your car, and take to the range. And if you do decide to walk on occasion, this is a very good choice.
