Mike Bailey

Houston-based writer Mike Bailey is an award-winning journalist who has covered nearly every facet of the golf industry for more than three decades. From competition and golf equipment to the turfgrass industry and instruction, Mike has held staff positions for publications such as PGA Magazine, the Golfweek Group, Avid Golfer, and most recently the Golf Channel’s Golf Advisor and GolfPass, where he spent more than a decade. Over the years, he’s covered several Ryder Cups and major championships, including the 2023 Masters, where he was fortunate enough to get picked in the media lottery to play Augusta National the Monday after Jon Rahm conquered the course and the field to win his second major. His favorite topic, however, is golf travel, and he's been able to experience and write about the best golf courses and resorts in the United States as well as Mexico, Canada, Europe, and other international destinations.
