At first impression, the course was nice. Once we hit the course, play moved nicely. However we ended up pushing our cart until it completely died. Since it was near the end of the day, we just walked in. When looking for someone to talk with, no one wanted to talk with us. Finally when we got someone that would listen, they told us that their carts die on the course all the time. Play Morningstar under the Boy Scout moto...Always be prepared. You just never know when you might have to walk in unexpectedly.

This was a very unfriendly course. I sat in my car for about 5 min and I heard the carts are suppose to roll right up to your car.. yeah that was a joke. Then I went inside to check - in and there was nobody there... I looked around a bit and finally somebody came but that was like 5 minutes later and then the manager came to me and was like I'm sorry for the wait and he said the discount was unavailable now because it is 11:05. - That was the biggest disappointment but I paid it and went to play. - The range was nice but one of the flags was missing. I started playing and by the 3rd hole, my cart died. I do not recommend this course.

I have had the oppotunity to play some very nice courses and I have to say the Morningstar was an excellent experience. The staff was friendly and the round went really well 4 hours with little or no wait for all 18 holes. We golfed with members of the course and we put our names on a list to get a tee time if one became available and it did. The course had some breathtaking views, the greens were a little rough for the first 6 holes but that is expected with all of the rain we just had, loved the fairways "hated the bunkers" but that is because I hate going in the bunkers. I say this course for the price is well worth the money and as for all these people whom gave the course a negative rating- get a clue- #1 verify that your clubs are secure every hole #2 dont go golfing on a course with a scramble going on. I have never heard of such uneducated golfers. My clubs did not fall out of my cart and we were on fully booked course with no openings on July 3rd and play went just fine.

I Highly recommend checking this course out if your in Southease Wisconsin

Just Great. I don't know when these other people played this wonderful course but I played it last fall and it was wonderful. The service is outstanding. This is the only course that I know under $100 that has attandants for everything from cleaning your clubs, placing them on the cart, and making sure my needs were attended. They had a starter on at 3:00pm and even had a bev cart on each nine on a Tuesday. The ranger was very pleasant and I almost felt guilty paying less than $75 to play this course. The course layout is unsurpassed by anything SE Wisconsin has to offer. The views, service, and conditions were great. I would recommend this course to everyone that I talk to and plan on taking many business clients out there again this coming Spring. I just think is was the best 4 hours I spent all week and maybe all month. Well done!!!

This course has the potential of being a great golf course, but the condition of the course and especially the greens keeps it from being great. I have played this course many times, and for over 3 yrs now, and the condition is always the same. The greens are worse than a municipal golf course. I have brought it to there attention more than once and they still have not addressed it in 3 years. I don't know how these other posts are saying that the course condition is great cause it's not. The price they charge is insane as well. It costs up to $85 some days. for the same price you should spend your money either at the bull or the bog which are way better golf courses. The course has potential, but I believe it is being managed and operated poorly. I have no idea how this course is being rated the number 1 golf course in wisconsin ahead of whistling straits because it shouldn't even be in the top 25.

Very solid golf course. Course is maintained very well though they seem to have trouble with a couple of the greens. Some fun holes with elevated tees and a couple of nice views. I don't think you can be dissapointed with the course itself. Overall staff seems friendly and attentive.

Morningstar = AMAZING!
The course offered amazing scenery - the entire course and the mansions on the course as well. The course offered GREAT service! I mean seriously, you come up to the course, and there are Morningstar employees ready to take your bag and put it on a cart, they tell you were to check - in. Then the person behind the desk will tell you if the Golf Range is open. Most of the time it is, but I guess on Monday Mornings that's when they cut the grass till 9 or 10 A.M. ( I'm not really sure) but that's what the person behind the pro shop counter said. Otherwise this is an AMAZING course and will be looking into becoming a member! Thanks, for the enjoyment!

Horrible management

I had a really bad experience at this course. We were not informed when we made a tee time that we would be behind a shotgun outing. When we arrived at the course, we asked if we could play ahead of the outing (138 golfers) since they were teeing off from the 1st to 14th holes. The management refused to allow us to tee off at the 15th hole despite having no one ahead of the outing. The pro assured us that the pace of play would be fast and that they ran all of their outing at 4.5 hours. Despite being skeptical about the pace of the outing, we decided to golf and trust the word of the pro. After the 7th hole, we were at 3.5 hours (on one par 3, there were 4 groups at the tee box and we waited 40 minutes on that hole alone). We finished the 9 holes at 4.5 hours and went to the club house to ask for a rain-check or refund for the other 9 holes since we did not want to golf a 9 hours round. The manager refused to refund our money or give us a rain-check. We asked to speak to the co-owner who was on site and he refused us too. After much heated argument from both side, they finally agreed to refund us for 9 holes with the stipulation that we will be banned from the course. I've never heard of being banned from a course for not wanting to golf a 9 hour round. After that experience, I would never play there ever anyway and gladly accepted the ban. It's too bad, the course is nice but the management needs massive improvement.

My significant other and I have golfed Morningstar and found it to be challenging and fair. The course is in excellent shape and it shows the constant care it is given. The scenery is breathtaking. Our experience was so positive that we will become members of Morningstar.
This is a real jewel especially when it's compared to other semi-private courses.

Morningstar - A Big Disappointment

The course is nice enough, but I was very disappointed in how I was treated there. I spoke with the General Manager about a complaint, and he did not even have the decency to get back to me, until after the THIRD message.

My clubs actually fell out of my cart onto the cart path, not once, but twice. Although the performance will not be affected, they were scratched up. Because I could not "prove" that they were scratched at Morningstar, they would not do anything for me. He did not even invite me back for a round of golf, which would have cost them next to nothing.

I will not golf there again.
