Lincoln Golf Course

One of the oldest courses in the Milwaukee County System, Lincoln is located between I-43 and the Milwaukee River in the near suburb of Glendale, WI. This course is well known for it's mature trees, open fairways, and relative ease of play. This has been the residents course of choice for novice golfers (they've got to start somewhere) so be prepared for slow play especially during the weekends.

The open clubhouse is small and clean and offers some grilled foods. There is no pro-shop although gloves, balls, and tees can be purchased at the starters counter. 2 putting greens allow you to practice a bit while waiting to tee off.

The course itself is pretty wide open although holes 2 and 3 will present even experienced golfers with a challenge.

The 2nd hole is a 400 yd par 4 dog-leg left with river on the left, a very mature and well placed tree around 230 yards and just to the right of the fairway, and a deep ravine to hit over to an elevated green.

The 3rd hole is a loaping, narrow 360 yd par 4 dog-leg right with big trees to the right and the river to the left. The green is also guarded by another very mature well placed tree located on the right side of the fairway.

With a county discount card, this course is a great value.
