The 18-hole "Madeline Island" course at the Madeline Island Golf Club facility in La Pointe, Wisconsin features 6,356 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.0 and it has a slope rating of 122. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, ASGCA, the Madeline Island golf course opened in 1966. Rick Christ manages the course as the Golf Professional.

The course features double greens and shared fairways on most holes to make use of the limited real estate on the island...only holes #7 and #16 don't share a green, tee, and/or fairway. This provides for a unique round that can't be found many places, let alone on an island in Northern Wisconsin. The views of Lake Superior and the surrounding area are also very nice, especially on the #9/18 green. It's worth a play if you find your way up to Madeline Island.
