Walter Hall is the more "blue collar" of the two City of Everett courses. It's cheaper but more basic than it's sister course, Legion. For example, it has sand bunkers on only a few holes. It features wide fairways and huge greens, which are decent, but not good. You'll get some putts that won't track true. The front 9 gets a little repetitive, but the back 9 is quite interesting. I like the way they set up the white and blue tees, by adding most of the extra yardage on just a few holes, so that it actually plays differently and not just a club longer. The course offers good value, but be prepared to go sloooow. I've NEVER had a quick round here. Finally, there's a nice pitching area out front for practice.

definately slow once teed off at 2 and didn't get in till 7:30. It's still my 1st choice if I got beginners with me, cheap and nobody cares if you're hangin up 7s and 8s all day

It works for me. I go 3-4 times a month. Make sure you have time as the crowd plays slow.

There were way to many people to keep smooth play!

Fun layout, pretty straight with no real difficult holes. Maintience is alright, greens were in good shape. Pace of play is biggest problem, it took over 5 hours on a wednesday at 11am. I played a saturday last year and we left on 17 after 6 hours. But the city is hiring new management so we'll see.

Very forgiving course. you do not have to have a long drive as long as you manage the course properly.

Good course for beginners

Wide open course with big, slow greens..........usually a mess in wet weather, OK in summer months. Adding asphalt carts paths should've been LAST on the list for improvements, but that's what they did. Play is usually slow as they pack 'em in best they can.
