This really is one of the best courses I've played in 20+ years of golf. As others have said - It's challenging, scenic, well maintained, and you need to keep the ball in play from tee to green. Slight warning - Don't go looking for your ball OB between May and September as there are pleanty of rattlesnakes out there.

The only thing I would rate average is their food, but if you are here to golf, and enjoy a spectacular course with great views, look no further. I grew up golfing Desert Canyon on summer vacations, and while both of these are now under the same management, I prefer the newer Bear Mtn tenfold.

This course is one of the very best I have ever played. It is tough, well maintained, beautiful views, and fun. I cannot believe some people rate it only average. Must be a lot of golf snobs out there. For pure beauty and fun this is the place.

A must play in the Chelan area. Course runs through the hills with unbelievable views of the lake and wine groves. Best to play with someone familiar with the layout because it is tough and some of the holes definitely have a best way to be attacked. It is a little pricey unless you get the twilight rate. The twilight rate is very reasonable.

Outstanding course. You better be able to get off the tee with some length and accuracy or the day can turn into a very long one. Challenging, but fair, with gorgeous views.

Absolutely the best course I've ever played. Better than Torrey Pines or Bethpage. Super scenery with breathtaking views on almost every hole. A few weak holes but lots of great holes. #18, par 5 is fantastic, one of the toughest anywhere. My birdie there was better than an Ace. Turf is superb, rough & fairway are lush and greens are firm but generally large, almost all of them perched in the normal Nicklaus design. Bunkers have the best sand I've ever played, almost enjoyed hitting bunker shots. 700 foot drop from top to bottom. Several 100" plus drops from tee to fairway.
Great service. GPS screens are large and great advice. Shows yardage to carts ahead. Wow.
We played in October for $40 after 1:00 p.m., then for $25 all dfay when they aerated greens. Talk about customer service. My wife and I played 6 straight days. Several rounds she played same ball all 18. Yesterday there was only 6 carts on the course. We never had anyone near us for 4 days.
5 tee blocks, 7231 yds from the tips, one 247 yard par 3, but downhill.
This course is an absolute must play. The Lake Chelan high desert scenery is spectacular.

This is a super course. There is a nice variety of terrain - and the beauty is incomparable. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly, but not overly so. We found the greens very difficult - probably because of the surrounding terrain. Maintenance was in top shape. Didn't mind paying a higher price than usual for such a spectacular, high-quality golf experience - complete with meet-you-at-your-car cart and range privileges. We were unhurried - felt like we had the course to ourselves yet there were plenty of golfers around. Very nice pro shop with cafe but does not have the after-round dinner option. Try one of wineries down the hill. Excellent food and terrific wines.

This is a course that you have to play.

Bear Mountian is unique, with beautiful views, holes with extreme elevation drops and gains, and enough difficult golf to be challening for anyone.

I would be hard pressed to name a course that will give you more golfing memories in 18 hole than this one.

Extremely beautiful and challenging golf course. Carts required, and for good reason. This course is extremely mountainous, with some fairways hundreds of feet below their respective tee boxes. Bring extra balls.
