Tanglewood Golf Course


The 18-hole "Tanglewood" course at the Tanglewood Resort facility in Pottsboro, Texas features 6,993 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.5 and it has a slope rating of 128 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Ralph M. Plummer, ASGCA/Arnold Palmer, the Tanglewood golf course opened in 1964. Mike Fish, PGA manages the course as the Head Golf Professional.

This used to be the signature golf course of the Texomaland area. I just can't understand how a course can slip like this one. The greens are in awful shape with way too many dead spots and the tee boxes looked like they were marked by a three year old.
I'm just so disappointed because this course has a number of really challenging holes which could make for an enjoyable experience. However, considering the condition of the course, I couldn't recommend Tanglewood to anyone.
