Played 18 holes and overall condition fair. But for those of us that aren't always in the middle of the fairway it played a lot more forgiving than some of the courses around Dallas. The greens are better than a lot but could be better. Good course for the money. Will play again for sure.

We have placed this course several times. The course is filthy they can not even see fit to empty the trash cans on the holes. Also no water most of the time in the ball washers. The pathways are badly in need of repair as well. The green need work as well. They are charging fees that exceed what they should based on the overall condition of the course. The staff need more training in customer satisfaction.

Have been playing here for the past month, their winter rate special is unbeatable, the greens are in great shape and the overall course is in good shape, considering it's winter.
The course has some very interesting holes, and can be quite challenging.
The staff is always freindly and helpful. I only gave the maintenance a 3 star rating because it's winter and there is only so much they can do, overall, I'd give it a 4+ rating, really enjoy playing here!

Great course to play for the price! I'll be back!

If you haven't played this course recently, you need to play it again. Unbelievable the improvements that were made last year. The course is in great shape and the prices are cheap.

Great course, I loved it

Los Rios is one of the best courses in North Dallas and Collin County. The course is interesting, the fairways and greens are in good shape -- greens are about 8-9 on the stemp meter-- and tee times are easy to get. It is a fun course to play and the head pro and course owner/manager do everything possible to make sure your round is enjoyable. The average round is under 4 hours. IMHO it is better than the nearby Firewheel courses and Pecan Hollow.
If you haven't played Los Rios in awhile I recommend you give it a try...you won't be disappointed.

I have played this course several times over this past year. It appears to me that things are changing for the better. They are constantly improving things on the course. The greens were in great shape towards the end of the season and the fairways are very nice. Tee boxes still need some work. The staff is great. I played yesterday, which was very busy. The staff were all involved including Lyle the owner and were friendly and helpful to everyone. Keep up the good work....I am really starting to enjoy playing Los Rios.

I have golfed here several times this year. The fairways are in good shape, greens are improving every time I come here and the staff is always very pleasant. Bottom line...it is a good value. Sure, there is room for improvement on greens, tee boxes, clubhouse. I am certain it will all be addressed. Every time I come back, they are doing something to try and improve the course. I will be back....soon.

One of my fav golf courses in the area ,yes its no lakewood c.c. but the owner, golf pros, and staff are awesome ! They also have some of the best fairways in Dallas ,there are some things that they could improve on but over all I had a great time there and will be coming back.

I am the owner of Los Rios. I am the first to admit it is not Agusta but it is a great mid priced golf course. You will find a lot of reviews from former members that are uspet that I stopped selling memberships and turned the course into a public golf course. We had a lot of problems with our greens last spring and almost lost them but they are back and better than ever. Our fairways are amoung the best in Noth Texas. Our tee boxes need some work which we plan to do this winter.

Come and see for yourself. I am almost always at the course, if you don't think the course is worth what you paid, find me and I will give you your money back

I have played Los Rios for years and it is in the best shape I can remember. Their greens were horrible in the spring but they have come back and are in great shape. Their fairways are amoung the best in North Texas, their tee boxes need some work as do the cart paths but overall for the price I don't think you can beat it.

I have lived in Plano for 15 years and thought it was time to try out this historic course. I have probably played well over 100 courses in my life and this ranks as the worst ever.
The course is not great to begin with but the conditioning, maintentance and operations are even worse.
The greens, fairways, rough and pro shop are all deporable. This place should be shuttered and turned into a landfill. My only half acceptable experience was the pleasant attitude of the guy delivering the carts.
I paid 40 bucks -- it was not worth 40 cents. I feel really bad for the "life members" who are stuck with this eyesore and the employees who clearly have no funding to fix the obvious problems.

I got suckered in by the billboard advertisements and tried a round here. The course is in bad shape, the club house is in need of cleaning and the management doesn't care. There are plenty of other places to play that are better for less money.

I liked the course. The owner introduced himself to me and was very accommodating. The course is challenging and in good shape. The greens roll true and the fairways are in great shape. So far I've only had good experiences there.

I, too, was a member for 6 years. The new owner has ruined the club! He has drained the pools, no pools this summer:) He has run off members by fraudulent billing, starting projects and not finishing them, closing the grill, turning off the air conditioner in the club house, limiting the availability of drinking water on the course, charging for cups, ice and being rude, disrespectful to the life time members. I have returned to play with dear friends only when discounted tee times allow. After seeing him treat members with little respect, I will no longer do that. His extreme behavior and neglect of the facilities is totally digusting. Not sure how he can have two empty pools, this has to be some sort of violation. Please, do not go and support this man. I hope and pray that he sells this facility!

Do not ever let these people get your credit card. They will charge outrageous amounts on it and force YOU to PROVE that they are fraudulent! The new owner is loosing his shirt because he can't keep members. This place is going down the tubes. There are so many lovely public courses in DFW. Find another one, these guys will rob you blind at their first opportunity.

On a beautiful Fall day, this course (for a beginner) was somewhat difficult -- but not TOO hard. True, the greens could be in better shape, but fairways, tee boxes, even the rough areas were all well maintained. A great challenge for the 'intermediate beginner'! BEAUTIFUL COURSE. (And the rate was affordable, because I got an internet coupon).

What a dump. I have played some bad courses, but this one may win the prize. GPS didn't work, the beer cart girl had no ice (on a 100 degree day), the greens were like dirt painted somewhat green. And it was 50+ dollars. The guy in the bar seemed like I was inconveniencing him asking for a gatorade. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Westridge or Castle Hills are infinitely better. I will never go back to this course, even if it was free.
