I played Tour 18 on June 7, 2013. The course was in good shape but it took over 5 hours to play 18 holes. No marshal on to be found. Tee time 9:12am and did not finish until 2:14pm. It was a Thursday!!!!! There's no excuse for 5 hour play time!!!!

This course is long, challenging and almost always jam-packed. So plan extra time to play here. 4.5 hours minimum. Their rates are too high, even for the high-quality of the course. But if you can catch a discounted tee time and/or get the free breakfast/lunch/drinks offer they usually run during the week, this course can be an excellent value (and the food, a buffet style, is surprisingly good!). Their service is usually very good. TV golf fans will enjoy comparing these "copy" holes to the real thing.

When I went to play this course, all I have heard are great things but when I got to the first tee I was kind of wrong. This course used to be great according to my friends (they played it years ago) and I could see they were right (for back then). The course now wasn't in that great of shape. The fairways were spotty with dead grass, the greens were sandy and I just didn't have a good time. The guy that checked our reciepts was like heres your cart and thats about it. I asked him which way to the first tee and he just pointed towards it without another word. The guy inside was very nice though and couldn't have asked for better service from him. It also wasn't very good of them not to have a food/drink cart driving around for the players because it was 98 degrees out and the water was scarce on the holes. Overall I wasn't very impressed with the course. Hopefully if I do play there again it will be in better shape and ran more professionally.

Wow was I pumped up to play this course. I thought it was going to rate up there with some of the nicest courses I've played. Quite the opposite was true. Fist off carts were old and worn out. The other cart in our group died on #12. The maintenance was far from acceptable for a green fee of this magnitude. I don't mind paying $70 but I expect good tee boxes, not dirt and dead grass only. Luckily we didn't spend much time in the bunkers but the ones we were in had little sand and it was very hard. Tall weeds were growing all around the bunkers and throughout the course and cart paths. There were two positives on the entire course. The greens were in decent shape and of course the layout. Other than that, I wouldn't go back to Tour 18 for half the current price. Very disappointed.

I just played this course Wednesday at 11:30. I used a coupon off of Golf Q, it came with lunch and two beers for under $35.
The course was in excellent shape with no hassles about replays.

I have played here several times and it seems like my experience is getting worse everytime I go. First of all, don't go in there with a coupon or email special, they fight with you for replays and treat you like a a step child. The salty starters are the only ones that give you great service, the guys behind the counter are snobbish and stuck up. The course was well maintained and I liked the layouts. I had a great time, lots of gimmicks and hype and it's too over priced. I had fun and that's what it's all about.

I must agree this course is overrated but I do have a great time playing there. Staff is very friendly. Course is well kept.

This course is OVERRATED!!! Played it once and it was horrible!! It was overcrowded and too much $$$ for the course. If it wasn't for the twilight rate and coupon it would've been worse. There are much nicer courses in Houston at a lower cost.

The course was just OK. I don't think it warrants a 4.5 star rating as some of the others have suggested. I enjoyed my round out here, but I'm not inclined to rush back for $95.00. I'd rather play Traditions Course at Cypresswood right down the street.

This is truly a fun course to play. I didn't find every hole is a true replica of the originals but it is a great escape nevertheless from the ordinary. The layout is very well maintained and the staff is first class. The clubhouse features fine dining, too. I can't wait to go back!

I've played Tour 18 a few times and I always look forward to my return. I agree with one of the reviews below that say that the course itself is solid without the gimmicks, however the draw to the course undoubtedly is the fact that it replicates Amen Corner, the 17th island green at Sawgrass, and the church pew bunkers at Oakmont. Probably my favorite is the replicated Bay Hill hole. I think Tour 18 does a fantastic job in terms of its maintenance and making the golfer feel like they are "part of the tour." Carts with your name on it along with the 17th in view next to the clubhouse makes a golfer feel like they've "arrived". Make sure you can hit your driver straight or it will be a long day. The greens are fantastic along with the service. Will play again.

Maintenance very well done and noticeable. Scenery is very nice throughout course. Pro shop has a great selection of clothing, shoes, clubs, balls, ect. Club house is clean and well maintained. Despite the high price, it is worth it. If you are worried about the price, try twilight fees - after 3pm as of now, or become a member. The memberships packages, esp the Players Club pays for itself easily.

If this course did not tell people it was a gimmic course, containing the top 18 holes on the PGA tour, and was just a course with these holes it would be a great course. People get carried away with the concept rather than just enjoy the course

Humbled in Humble

The Course just challeges you right out the gate and pushes your game for 17 more holes. Going for it here will result in a feeling of golf bliss or a growing cancer on your scorecard.
