i played the course on 5/12/13 river and 5/13/13 the highlands. both courses are very nicely taken care of the greens were very good shape and quick. the river course is a links style course and is a harder course due to length and water, the highlands course has some very tricky greens two and three tiered but very enjoyable to play. the course is pricey for non residents. i am an 8 handicapper

Major construction as of March 2010. There were very few yardage markers, which was frustrating, but they did have different colored flags depending on the pin location, which was helpful. Greens in great shape and very fast. The biggest negative was that, due to the reshaping of the course, the 9th hole does not end at the clubhouse - we were wanting to get food at the turn, but were over a mile from the clubhouse. No one mentioned this at the front desk. Otherwise, this is a good course.

I was very happy with the course. They did have construction going on but they only charged $30 with a cart. It's not like playing a country club it compares to me to an above avg public course and I live in Cincinnati where there are many nice public golf courses. It is not a real difficult course but when the new holes open it will be better, there are a few par 5's that are more like long par 4's 470, 480. You play the open 18 but skip holes here and there under construction but it is well marked and the scorecard and tee markers are numbered and the distances are updated. Once again very pleased with the course for the money and conditions.

We played this course 3 times last week. It's normal rate before construction began was $41, and they always have a $5 off coupon. So you can regularly play it for $36. However, they are adding a new 18 and have a (Under construction) rate of $30 anytime, can't use the coupon, but still the best deal for a course this nice. There are holes under construction, however all 18 holes that you get to play are all NOT under construction and are in great shape. For those of you that have played in the past, we were playing a modified course, Old 1st hole was under renovation, started on old 2. Old 10 was 9(basically you made your turn after 8 and then played 10 more holes). Back 9 had several new holes, 11-12, and 14-17. Old 18 the same. Course was in GREAT Shape. New holes are fun. #11 is a 307 yd. par 4. I drove it almost 300 yd. on our 1st round. 16 is a fun par 5. 17 is a short(423 yd.) but challenging par 5. Must have precise shots to reach green in two. Ranger said this will be a par 4 after renovations and additional 18 are completed. Guessing it will go up to at least $50 or $55 after construction is completed. No Driving range at this time as the old DR is being used for some new holes. New DR sod was laid just before we got there. Also building new clubhouse. Overall I recomend you take advantage of the cheap rate while you can.

Greens were burnt up. Cart path had trash all over it and the 3 green looked like buffalo had tromped through it. Very Loud Trafic sounds and the pro shop prices very high.

was very displeased with bag boy. he put my bag on and when i pulled off my bag fell off knocking paint chips off my driver when it hit the cart path. course was nice and beautiful ladies to look at in the pro shop.

This course was having some construction done while I was there and I think that the maintenance score will be higher after the work is done and the heavy equipment is removed. Overall this is a great course to play and has a balanced difficulty.

Would be a better value is it offered discounts on GolfNow. Good discounts for locals. Will be one of the best courses in the area when the other 18 are finished.

Just played the front 9 on this course. Very quirky employees and ridiculous course rules. Starter refused to give us a scorecard until our starting time and we could not drive to our vehicle to load our clubs. Complete with a smarmy little guy that works for tips to load your clubs. He is apparently the only one authorized to drive a golf cart in the parking lot.

The course was in decent condition. A few bare spots on the greens and the fairways were in fair condition. Requires very precise shots with sage grass lining every hole. Several blind fairways at this course due to unnecessary tee box placement. The views are not at all spectacular - not sure why people are giving this course 5 stars on this category. No mountain views at all - course is located in Sevierville.

Horrible course layout - not at all a course for walkers. Several tee boxes on the front 9 were easily 250+ yards from the previous hole's green.

Construction is still a problem here. They are adding a second 18 holes on the southeast side of the facility. There are also several condominium buildings going up which adds to the noise.

It cost us $26/person to play the front 9 and that was on a "discounted" rate. I would recommend several other courses in the Pigeon Forge area over Eagles Landing. I have no desire to go back and play the entire 18 holes.

This will be a great place to play in a couple years from now. They are doing a lot of work at this time but are still keeping 18 holes open for play. Should be great when they finish adding the new 18 holes.

This is by far an awesome course. A few construction details still goin on, but great play with amazing views. Actually had 2 baby does run out infront of the tee box no more than 20 yards and look at me and start grazing. As a hunter, that tells me how peaceful it is around them parts and WILL return for some small ball.

I played this course in April 2007. They are under construction adding a second course and a bigger club house. There were three holes on the course that had been considerably shortened, one which was less than 100 yards! There is no mention of this anywhere, so If you think your getting a full 18, be careful because those three holes make it play a lot less than what it was. Hopefully one day when they get the second course completed it will be beautiful once again. Still for the views, the price is worth admission.

Outstanding!! Worth the Price!!!

This is a must play during your visit to the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area. The staff are both friendly and helpful. The greens are well maintained.
