Pretty easy course, greens are always in really good shape, fairly wide open. Pretty good value.

Dead Horse has a nice driving range and a nice club house, but a very poor practice putting green. The layout is fun with a mixture of challenge and opportunity, all the par 3s are easily reachable, two of the par 4s are very long, and the par 5s give you an option to score low on them. The staff isn't very friendly and the scenery is horrible (a school, a hospital, and a construction site), but the value is good and the course is easy.

This course is laid out very nicely. There are a few memorable holes, and alot of nice scenery. The greens on this course are in great shape, but the fairways seem to have a drainage issue(although I did play after alot of rain). Other than the drainage, the course is a good value and worth a look.

Too much money if you plan on riding...walking the course is a different story. Hole 3 gives great opportunities if you can clear to 300 or so yards to clear the "Dead Horse Lake." Course seems to generally be in good shape. Drainage was a problem last year, not sure how it is now. Definitely worth playing once to wet your buds and see if its a personal repeater.

Good course, nice scenery, fast play (9 averages about 1-1/2 hours). Greens soft, sometimes these is a lot of ground under repair, but you gotta do maintenance sometime I guess. I would recommend a play here any time. Cost is reasonable.

Very scenic course. Well maintained and friendly environment.

I played this course, the staff had no control whatsoever on cart useage. FOlks with tea times were bumped due to last minute walk-ins. Once we started playing the tee box was so backed up we had a 20 minute wait at each of the front 9 holes. Pretty course, nice layout. Management; however, leaves much to be desired.

I enjoyed playing this course. The staff was very nice and helpful. The greens had just been airated so it was not a lot of fun on the greens with the bumps your ball took, but this has to be done every year. The $30.00 during the weekday is a very good rate and I would recommend playing this course when the greens are better and the color in the fairways turn green. Overall I would recommend this course if you are in the Knoxville area.

The course is pretty open. The greens are very soft. Groups moved pretty quickly. Really enjoyed playing here. Great value.

There should be a category for rating how fun a course is. This is a very fun course to play. Playing from the blue tees adds a little bit more to the experience. The course is actually fairly attractive to be located in the middle of a big city. I liked it but I think they should lower the greens fees about $5. If you're on the west side of Knoxville, don't pass this place up.

Very easy course all around. Very short, greens aren't hard to handle. So far this summer they have been very soft. This is one of those courses that can easily boost your confidence. For what it costs(I pay 15 to walk 18 on weekdays), a great public course to play.
