Great course to play since they have put the new greens in. The course is still wide open off the tee and really needs to be played from the blues because of yardage. Great course for the price.

very short course, played it on a day that a monsoon came through. does not drain very well. i think it could be a very good course if they fix drainage and work on tee boxes.

This is a wide open, very short course, lots of fun to play with friends. Its a driver-wedge course. Very forgiving lay-out. Great value, scenery is nice, and other than the toxic smell(which to be honest, Ive never smelled once on the course itself, just the range) really all around good experience. Of course you have to try and drive the Tn. river off of #12 tee box.........

Moccasin Bend is a great course for beginners. If you can make it through the smell of the sewage plant in the adjacent lot, you can see the beautiful mountain ranges and Tennessee River from several holes. The staff couldn't care less if you are there or not, but it's not a bad place to play. That smell is brutal though...

I'm not a very good golfer so this course is difficult to me. I love all of the scenery and the relaxed atmosphere of the place. It is relatively cheap compared to most to most of the courses in the Chattanooga area. The waste water treatment plant can stink quite a bit during the summertime evenings so be careful. Overall, I like it well enough to continue torturing my handicap several times throughout the summer.

Nice and open course!

This golf course is very wide open and lets you break out the big guns. The only downside to the course is the smell from the waste water treatment plant nextdoor. Overall I like the course, the greens and fairways are pretty nice. The course offers some decent views of the mountains and a nice view of the river. Try and see if you can drive a ball across the river on one of the holes. I recommend it for the price.

One problem with this course. Its northern boundary is the Chattanooga city sewage treatment plant, so the aroma of the area leaves something to be desired. I cannot imagine what it smells like on a hot sunny day. Check out the site, putting in the 381 Moccasin Bend Road address. Look at the "satellite" view, then move north. You'll see what I mean at

A little jewel on the banks of the Tennesse River

I have played this course many times when I used to live in Chattanooga. I now live in Atlanta, but took my son back to this course to teach him the game. The course is very forgiving, flat and wide open except for a few holes along the river where right handed slicers may lose a few balls. Overall, the course is beautiful with mature trees and the beautiful Tennessee River running right alongside. I dare you to try and drive one over the river from the #12 doesn't look so far... It is usually not overly crowded and the greens fees are about as low as they come. They used to give you a discount if you told them you were from out-of-state. I highly recommend this course to the casual golfer for a fun, relaxing game.
