Course Reviews

This is one of my favorite courses in Myrtle Beach. It's got wide fairways that let us grip-it-and-rip-it types stay out of trouble. It's got some very challenging holes, including #13 which is probably the hardest hole I've played in Myrtle Beach. A ton of sandtraps that are usually kept in very good shape.

My complaints about Arcadian Shores: they don't keep the greens and fairways in as nice a shape as they should, and the greens fees are a little higher than you would pay for a similar course if you're willing to drive a little further.

My biggest complaint is that they will pack the course in the morning. They start people off of both sides which makes for some of the longest rounds in MB. Also, their starters and staff are #@%#@%. Sorry. Not trying to be vindictive, but they really have some unpleasant employees there.

Nevertheless, I still make it a priority to play there every time I'm in town.

First played this course in the early 1980's when it was one of the premier courses. It went downhill after that but is well on its way back. Wide fairways with lots of sand. A fun course that is not overly difficult but is still a test.

Played here 11/26 & 11/26...Nice course alot of sand traps though!

nice course with many sandtraps and water but slower greens than i expected

I play this course 3 times a month. If I didn't get a great member guest rate I'd only play it once a year (specifically for the 13th). I concur with the other observations about condition, club house and scenery. If you have a limited number of rounds there are alot of other better options.

Just too many sand traps. Played it 6/10/08 & #10 green was all sand, so take note. The rest of the greens were average or below at best.

Everything I read said it was a 3 star course. I felt like I was playing on a park district course - back and forth, no variety. There are better courses in Myrtle.

fun course

This is a challenging course the clubhouse is old and could use some work. The staff in particular the marshals were very friendly and helpful. #2 par 3 is a bear

Very Nice

I rated this course very high, although i did have to knock it on it's scenery. The only reason for this is while i was playing i saw; outlet malls, rv campgrounds, and fastfood restaurants.
