I will not go back! I booked a tee time online for a single golfer. I arrived promptly and started within minutes of my tee time. In the middle of the second hole, I was told I had to move to hole 10 because of the league. So I had to pick up in the middle of a hole and move. The groundskeeper on the back 9 followed my every swing for at least 3 holes cutting right where I was playing. Then when I finished the back 9, there was a group on tee 1 and multiple groups from another league waiting. My tee time was not respected and I will not come back. Don’t have available times online if they truly aren’t available

I golf there 1-2 times a week, pending weather. I live right in town, so for the money, it is a really nice and simple course. Friendly staff and awesome food over at Bogey's bar and grill.

Shadowbrook Inn and Resort golf course

I've decided to modify my original review of Shadowbrook (left in 04'). I had an opportunity to play the course today (03/18/09) and it has improved dramatically in recent years. I never held the flood of 06' against the course, as I felt that it had problems far more systemic that preceded that natural disaster. I'm happy to report that the course appears to be developing nicely and the conditions were pretty darn good considering they just opened for the season. The greens were fuzzy, but devoid of any blight or rough spots. The traps had been cleaned and raked, and the fairways were also clear. The tee boxes need leveling, but were adequate. As you can see by the other reviews, the back 9 is somewhat lacking, but was much improved over my last visit. Hole #16 is spectacular. All in all, I'd recommend the course. The bar/grille was not open yet and therefore I can't comment on their current fare/service.

Not a bad course. I try to play here 4 or 5 times a year and usually find the course in good shape and the traffic pretty light. I played 18 here on April 19 and the price and conditions were solid. The front 9 is a fun group of holes that includes 3 par 5's and plays at a 37. My only complaint is #6 which a 236 yard par for that you're only hope of hitting on in 1 is by hitting a serious draw around the trees. Holes 7 and 8 are still recovering from the flood damage are in pretty good shape. The back 9 as mentioned is pretty blah to say the least. Holes 11, 14 and 16 are really the only component holes the rest are short 240-260 yard par 4's with a straight uphill par 3 thrown in. For this eason i play only the front 9 90% of the time i play here. If you're looking for a great 18 i suggest Stone Hedge which is right down he road. It's a little bit more pricey but well worth it.

I was there this summer for a weekend golf trip. I thought the course was ok. The front 9 was tough because your second shot was always off of dirt, no grass growing because of lack of rain. A few holes on the front require accurate drives. The back 9 was more fun even with a few straight uphill holes. I enjoyed the par 3 16th down the hill and over the water. The resort is ok, not top class but you get what you pay for. Not sure if I would go back but probably would.
