Played on a cold sunny day in December. The course is well maintained with wide open fairways and a number of water and bunker hazards. Fun for the novice but still challenging enough for the more advanced. Service was friendly and helpful and I will definitely visit again in the warmer weather.

I think this course must be quite different from in the past. Played here on 4/29, cordial gentlemen in the pro shop. Not busy, course nicely groomed, $22 with electric cart.

The course itself it fairly flat and a lot of room to land off of the tee. Several holes are ones in which you have to lay up instead of just driving the ball off of the tee every time. You will get to use a variety of clubs, which made playing the course a lot of fun.

About 4 or 5 hole in which you have to hit over water. It is a nice little course. About the only bad thing I can think of it that there were quite a few white dandylion heads in the rough, making it hard to locate your ball. Then again, stay on the fairway and this isn't a problem. I'm anxious to go there again, hopefully on a weekend.

My what a difference a year makes. You are not going to find a better deal around. This course it self has improved by leaps and bounds, as well as the remodeled pro shop. This course is perfect for golfers who are beginning there golfing experience or golfers who just want to go out and play a relaxed round of golf. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to play a round. If you think I am wrong I play there every wednesday. See you there.

You don't even get what you pay for. Staff was was only friendly when we were leaving. Pro shop was lacking. I got the impression that they do not get many female golfers. I wouln't go back.

This has to be one of the most horrible courses I have ever played. I do not mind a course that is poorly maintained and cheap..but this place would be better suited as a landfill! The greens were fast on one hole and shag carpeting on the next. The guy at the pro shop had no clue what was going on. The pro shop is poorly stocked and very OLD!. I would only recommend this course if all others within a 250 mile radius were closed. Don't waste your time or money!

Good course. Maintained well. No good eats at the course. Easy to find. Fair distances for the ladies from forward tees. Greens VERY fast

Nice course for price. Very good for beginners like myself due to being very open and easy to find errant balls.

A feeling of "your local neighborhood" course permeates this course with a feeling of "common in and sit a spell" at the bar. The course is relatively short, sneaky, and sassy on certain holes. If you don't look before you leap you'll be writing "Snowmans" on your scorecard. but not to worry.....the 19th hole is waiting for you to "smooth things over." For the money, you can't complain.

Inexpensive...but worth it!

Our group of travelling seniors plays this course about four or five times a year, most recently 3-22-07. Course is very modest, design not especially inspiring, but it's a serviceable track, and has enough bite to nail the unwary. Previous reviewer accurately cited some of the high points: there are also two parallel par 4 holes om the back, each over 400 yards, so it's not a pushover. Conditions were pretty good: tee boxes in nice shape; fairways very good; bunkers were OK; greens were lumpy and bumpy from relatively recent aeration (we thought that by this time of year, greens would have recovered from aeration, but not so). Staff is very friendly, and the price is right: we paid only $14 with the Tee Time book. Pro shop has very limited merchandise, and snack bar is really the neighborhood bar, which is not a bad thing. Highly recommend the crab soup!! A pitcher of Yeungling is only $5.50, and an order of fries $2.00. We found the lady tending bar to be very pleasant and competent. We shall return!!

Greg- Greencastle

Cedar Ridge is a fairly open course with a few surprise pays to know the course first. Two hidden ponds on the back nine disguise tee shots, forcing a short iron from the tee. I played this course in November, but had a great time. The front nine is fairly open and not really long...just a lot of back and forth with some pretty holes scenic wise. The par 4 dogleg 3rd had some lovely ornamental grass protecting the entrance to the green and the par 5 6th requires a tee shot over water. The back nine plays a little more tight. The short par 4 10th requires a short iron tee shot unless you know the course and can drive over 270 yards or so to the green. The par 3 11th is only about 100 yards, but the hole placement on my round was just behind the huge pond...still a birdie hole. The par 4 15th is another short iron tee shot because of a hidden pond at the bottom of the hill. I really liked the back nine set-up...made for some strategic planning. Now that I'm familiar with this course, it won't play very difficult (I hope). For the price...this is a course I plan to return to.
