Overall there has been improvement on this course. It's like playing two different golf courses. Front nine is tighter and short, side hill lies. Greens seem much quicker than before and pin placement more difficult. Can put off some greens with a bad approach and putt. Probably to protect the short side. You can score well. The back nine is much longer and more challenging. If the front matched the back side I'd give it a higher score. It's worth playing as you'll have to play every club in the bag and a variety of shots. The club house is nice and under new management.

Played here on Aug11. Course is in great shape. Very nice for a course in this area. Pin placements were a little severe for a Monday.

Course was decent - not much bang for your buck. Greens were in good shape though...very fast. Tight fairways make it very important to hit the ball straight. A lot of straight par 4's - boring. Course ended in a par 3 - which I hate.

Customer service was horrible. Paid $44 to get rushed by the golf police to keep up with the group ahead of us despite having to wait to tee off every time. Pro shop assistant asked us if we "slept inn" even though we were 5 mins. early and still waited at the tee. Very rude and inconsiderate - will never get my money again.

We started the summer playing our couples league at Valley Green. I say started, because we didn't finish there.

First the positives: The course is very nice. Well maintained, challenging but (with the exception of #4) not impossible for mid- to high-handicappers. Lots of room left and right on most holes so that an errant shot only winds up on the next fairway instead of in the woods. The exception is the few holes lined by houses. A big wooden fence on #4 helps to keep some mishit balls in play.

Rates are good, and you would get a good value for the money were it not for the negatives to come.

Food in the clubhouse is reasonably priced, has good sized portions, and tastes good as well.

Now for the negatives:
As I mentioned I was there as part of a couples 'league'. Our group of 18-20 golfers played 9 holes every Friday night and then stayed at the course for dinner. Despite handing them this many people for a restaurant that was often virtually empty, they just didn't seem to care about us at all, or the other golfers on the course. Many nights they neglected to block off starting times for us, instead telling us to just go fit into wherever there was room -- often creating a huge backlog.

Meals were a disaster. Despite often being the only people in the entire restaurant meals on most nights would take over an hour and a half - because we sat around waiting for someone to take our order, someone to bring our food, someone to get new drinks, someone to bring our check, someone to bring our change. Service was just horrible in the restaurant.

And the proshop was worse. I believe they would have just rather not had us there at all. Every week was a hassle as to what the cost was, where we were starting, and on and on.

And so we are there no longer.

This course might be a cheap place to play a round of golf, but don't expect any service to go along with it.

Fun to play

Nice course that is fun to play. Maintained well. This course however is a little tight and it is easy to hit a ball in peoples back yards. I like the course because of the elevation changes.

Great course for all level of players

New ownership several years ago, major investment made to course maintenance and to new clubhouse which has a great restaurant/bar.

Course is tight but low scores are possible. Great greens and playing conditions. Almost all fairways are lines with mature trees. New traps on several holes. A fun course.
