Well kept tees, fairways, clubhouse. Greens better than average. For a normal feel of a course, I recommend playing the back tees for all 4's and 5's and blues for the 3's. Most of the clubhouse guys and starters are a little stiff...One guy told me to be prepared to shoot a 100 if I shot from the back tees. I shot an 83. I also wanted some ice to keep my bottled water cold. They said I couldn't have any. I offered to pay $2 for the bag of ice. They still said no. Don't get it. $50 during peak times for residents is still a bit high.

More than any other public/municipal course, if you keep the ball in the fairway you can score well. The reason is that the rough is just that, rough. It's too high for a course like this and it is difficult to find your ball even if you're just 5 feet from the fairway (which really slows down play). The fescue around the sandtraps is unfair in my opinion. If you hit a ball between the green and the bunker (not a horrible shot) and it end up in the fescue you either can't find the ball or you must take an unplayable lie. I don't think that's fair. And for $66 for a weekend round, it's no bargain. But after all that criticism, I look forward to playing this well laid out course. If I can only stay out of the rough and the fescue!

I was passing through the area and picked this course at random. I'd play it again.

Very pretty course, good length from the Cranberry tees only. Rough is too high for speedy play. Should be shorter so people can find their balls that are only 2 yards off the fairways. We waited too long for people to find balls hit into the rough. The day we played it was 7:00 AM and the greens looked like they had seen a long day. Nothing was rolled or cut. Everyone's putts bounced all over the place. Not a good value considering I payed $66 to play a municipal course.

Played this course Fri the 21st. A really enjoyable track. Good variety of holes within each section of holes par 3's; 4's; 5's. A lesson for many public courses that want to have sand, do what this course does have the sand prepared to be played. There was lightening in the area and they have an alarm system warning you to leave the course, nice touch. All in all I hope my group makes a tee time there again and soon.

For 66 dollars there are a lot of courses i would rather play. beautiful clubhouse, wicked fast greens with lots of undulation , brutal rough. crazy long par 4 on the back.

Nice links style course. Definatley overpriced. Greens kind of beat up due to so much play, but they do roll true. Overall a great course, should be around $45 not $60.

Very crowded and the greens were rough. layout was fantastic and the scenery was nice. greens need work, but it could be a fantastic course.

Great Course

One of my favorite tracks in the Pittsburgh region. Great, wide-open links style layout with the primary hazard being the fescue that flanks each fairway. The conditions are always spectacular. Although seemingly short, it rarely feels that way. The course fairly rewards good play. This year's higher rates, though, move the price to the brink of being too expensive when there are similar courses like The Madison Club, Birdsfoot and the spectacular Firestone Farms in the region.
