The 9-hole "Worcester" course at the Worcester Golf Club facility in Collegeville, Pennsylvania features 3,047 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35. Designed by David S. Cavanaugh, the Worcester golf course opened in 1997.
For my skill level, this course is perfect. I played 2 other 18 hole courses in the past 3 weeks, and the greens were in terrible shape compared to this course. I played it a bit in 2016, and the course was in much worse shape than now. It does seem that many people who play here are around the same skill level as myself, which is fine. People need to remember that if your ball is in the woods, or in the rough, you should not spend the next 10 minutes looking for it.I have played other courses, where they had Rangers out and about, and if necessary, they would step in and say something. The 8th hole is my favorite though! Directly over the pond!
The course is in much better shape at this point of the season. It is a course that provides a chance to work on your game at your leisure or join one of the fun golf leagues. Very friendly staff. Probably a bit overpriced considering the overall picture.
The absolutely WORST COURSE I have ever played for any amount of money! Greens are crap, and their landscapers should be fired! Mower marks everywhere. Never going back again. Used to be a clean cut "bang for the buck", but I will pay more to play a course that is more appealing.
