We played Labor Day weekend, and the course seemed pretty beat up. Greens were bumpy, had lots of scars from un-repaired ball marks, and every putt seemed to break away from the hole at all angles. Not a bad course, just not a great one either.

3 Million dollar renovation went far with this course! New lakes, tees and greens and of course the monster clubhouse added everything Cherokee Hills needed. The best is the GPS for yardage and real-time leaderboard during outings. If you have not been to Cherokee since the renovation, it is a must!!! Cherokee Hills is known as the home of the hassle free golf outing and lives up to it's reputation.

This is a fantastic course for those of middle-high to middle-low skill level. There are some interesting traps for the skilled golfer, and wide enough fairways for the newer golfer.

The clubhouse/pro-shop/restaurant are quite impressive. They have a nice layout, great food, fantastic atmosphere and the outdoor balcony that overlooks the 18th green provides some great (and, naturally; bad) golf viewing while having a beer and a bite to eat while re-living the day's golfing.

Their friday "9 and dine" is a great deal. For $55, 2 golfers can have a great GPS cart, digital scoring, 9 holes (very un-rushed atmosphere) and $20 towards their dinner bill (alcohol not included)

A definite must-play in this reviewers book.

Cherokee Hills also known as Coppertop.

This course has very little challenge to it. There were only two holes on the back nine worth tipping my hat to. I enjoyed hole 17. It dropped down from the white tee about 60 yards, making it a fun 135 yard hole. A bit over priced for what I got out of it.

Only GPS carts around

Course is dramatically improved from years past and getting better. GPS carts make the course worthwhile playing. Some short holes make the course fairly easy and there is not a lot of trouble to get into.
