I live in central Ohio our group play different courses in our area. We paid $27 on a Saturday but it is early spring. Holes 1-17-18 are the best scenery holes. Of the courses around our area this course would be one I wouldn't recommend. The greens are small the course is short and as stated by another review the holes run side by side you really need to be aware of people hitting at you. Shamrock is right across the street give that a try before safari

I think this is a decent course but I have played here several times this year and the pace of play has been absolutely ridiculous no matter what time/day I have played.

This course is closest to where I live, so I find myself playing there more than I would want. The front 9 is a decent track, but the back 9 is far to short. They recently made a couple of changes in turning a very short par 4 into a par 3 and a long par 4 into a short par 5. I don't know if that helped at all as far as scoring goes, but it does make the course different. 17 and 18 are nice looking holes, and the clubhouse is pretty nice. Greens fees are high, probably due to the association with the zoo. There are a lot of better courses and deals out there, but this course is in a pretty good location if that is your biggest priority.

Make sure you wear your hard hat. The balls are flying everywhere. Not a bad little course to beat out 9 or 18... if you like long waits.

I had played in a league at Safari until this year. The old Safari was a much better course than the one unveiled last year. The changes made took a nice challenging walkable course and has turned into a stiff, uptight can't even buy a hot dog and a pitcher of beer kind of course. With the new lay out one has to walk at least 500 yards from 10 green to eleven tee and about the same from 1 green to 2 tee. Likewise, the distance between other holes has increased as well. Unfortunately this ceuses slow play for walkers or fprces you to get a cart. The newer holes (1, 17 and 18 aren't all that great. One is average, but even for a high handicapper it's reachable from the tee or a short wedge second shot. 17 and 18 are tucked into the woods with no air and surrounded by swamp ground. The greens on 1, 17 and 18 went to crap last year and never came back. Have not bothered to return, but word is things have not improved. We had a 6pm league, and they shut down the range at 5. In order to get a hot dog, you had to spring for the "platter". No pitchers for after the round. Cart fees jumped.
