While this is a relatively short course (6 par 3's), it is very well maintained. One of the best values you can find in a golf course. Beautifyl layout that makes you makes choices. Restaurant & Bar are outstanding as well.

I really enjoy this course. There is plenty of room on most holes to make it easier on a hacker like me. Reserve Run and Pine Lakes are my favorite places to play. Reserve Run is challenging enough for average players and a good place for beginners with some experience. A very enjoyable experience everytime I play there. Experts will find it interesting and challenging but fair enough for them to push for their lifetime best scores.

Great course - exellent condition with interesting layout. Course is a liitle short, and a par 70 with 6 par 3's but is alot of fun to play with excellent scenery. very calming environment to play in. Value on the course is excellent, staff great and very nice club house to relax and have a lunch or a few beers. You should take the opportunity to play - gaurantee you will return.

Top notch, always in great condition. Yardage marked every 26 yards on sprinkler heads on BOTH sides of the fairway, no other course has this, excellent restaurant and caring staff, by the way, it is against the law to bring your own beer.

There are positives and negatives with this course. The place is in great shape, has a good lay out and is cheap to play. There is not much to the greens. It felt like having the same put over and over again. There is no practice facilityand not much to the club house. For 14 holes the course plays as it is rated. There are around 4 holes that seem out of place. They are good holes but they do not fit with the rest of the lay out. You can go from a wide open straight par 5 to a par 4 that should be on a 72 rated course. With that said I will play again here.

Wow, how could anyone not like this course. It has some very interesting holes but all in all the scenery, value and how your treated make up for any downside someone may find. We play this course as much as we can even though we are an hour away.

this is indeed a course with attitude but it is one that actually wants you to have a great experience so long as you play by their rules. they allow beer and water and they provide the cooler but they want you to buy it from them. that's just business so buy it and have a great time. they do not tolerate foolish people but they love golfers who love the sport. the course is not long but play it from the blacks and it gets more interesting. very well maintained, gets a lot of play, some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever hope to see, great restaurant and views. where else will you see a floatplane land while you relax on the veranda with a beer in hand. The hardest working golf staff in the area yields a great experience at a very reasonable price.

Top notch course in the Youngstown area. Service is excellant and the staff is friendly as long as you follow the rules. You won't find much better than this when it comes to public courses.

Great Layout!!! Great Price!!!
I love people who come on sites like this and rip a golf course for poor customer service...especially when you try to break the rules. A golf course is a business, just like a movie theater, or going to an Indians game. You are not permitted to bring your own pop or beer or water to a movie theater or a sporting event. These people are idiots. As a person who runs a very successful golf course business I get very frustrated dealing with these types of people. I wish they would play somewhere else!!!! Keep doing a great job at Reserve Run...

nice course, staff especially the ranger, need to take course in politness would not allow us to take a cooler with bottled water on course. we will never go back there.

Course plays really easy. The par 3's that get into the 190's and 200's are the hardest on the course than the 18th par 4. Well kept, always green in important places and price is very good.

If THEY can shut there mouth and allow drinks on the course, this would be a perfect place to play when your game has taken a downward spiral and you need a boost in having a lower score than normal.

Remember your not the only track in town.

Owners need to realize first, golf is a sport and then a business. You need a balance, you can't have a course without any golfers. I know of two good junior golfers (walkers) that brought their own water on the course and were told not to come back, because he sold water in the clubhouse. Just a little FYI Scottie, junior golfers are the future of the sport the game and the business of golf.

avoid course at all costs

perhaps the worst customer service I've ever encountered at a golf course. We, a group of 16 were told at least 5 seperate times we couldn't bring beer onto the course. We got it the first time. I had 2 bottles of water in my cooler. They took my cooler back to the clubhouse. You are not allowed to go back to your car until you are finished golfing. The ranger was constantly hounding us for slow play even though it was a group in front of ours. On top of all the surley attitudes, there are no hole layouts on the card or at the tees. Yardage from the tee is painted on the cart paths.

The owner must love not having any return golfers. We told this story to the next two courses we palyed and they all knew who we were talking about.

Watch your yardage!

I found the course to be very nice and well kept. however, watch the yardage markers they seem to be to the back side of the greens.

Nice course if you've been there before

My biggest frustration was that their score card does not have a hole layout diagram, and they do not sell a yardage book. So if you haven't played the hole before, you either have to drive up to see what you're dealing with or just guess.

It would be a lot more enjoyable if you knew what you were up against and had the information to make a strategic decision.

BTW, when I asked the counter fellow if they have a yardage book, his answer was "The yardages are on the score card." Wow....
