Played here yesterday as a single and had no problem getting on course around 11am. Course was in decent shape with the exception of a few tee boxes and greens. Some of the fairways were dried out and crunchy as you walked on them which is hard to believe after all the rain that fell the past couple days. But overall a decent round for a course in NYC. Nothing to drink or eat. Couldn't even buy a Gatorade or water. The guy at the counter said the store was closed but it looks like it's been abandoned. There were a few water fountains spread around the course if you are into drinking tap water. Greens were good speed, maybe a little on the fast side. Good amount of short holes which making scoring low easy if you can put together a couple good shots. Nice layout. Would play again if I was in the area

I really love this course! I have only been playing for a year, and this course was the first I have played (I've played 8 others since, for a total of about 45 rounds since-The bug bit me HARD), and I still love it. It is not too long, but not too short, the holes are not overpowering, but reward good shots (when I've had them, lol), and the greens are good. The course as a hole is VERY well maintained, although the "Grill" could really use updating-La Tourette's is sort of my ideal Grill room (Decent food, Cold Beer and a few TV'S-very simple). I have waleked in here almost every day of the week at varied times and have NEVER waited more than 1 hour to tee off (mostly as a Solo joinig a 3some to make a 4some), but maybe I've gotten lucky every time, LOL. I definitely recommend this course to any beginners, or anyone who is starpped for time- I once went to La Tourette and was told there was a 2 hour wait to CHECK IN, drove to South Sjore and was TEEING OFF within 15 minutes!

Played this course last week. Its great keeps getting better each year! Fairways are beautiful in August Rough is lush and greens putt very nicely. I think this course is underrated for the difficulty. While no gimmicks on the course it is a true test of your golfing abilities while being enjoyable at the same time. I felt like I was playing at a country club.

Great pace of play, wasn't busy at all on a hot Saturday afternoon. Lots of blind tees (doglegs and elevation). Wooded edges leave no room for error. Well maintained course and greens.

As with all NYC courses, great value for money. A good mix of long and short holes - some drivable par fours, some legitimate par fives. With an early tee time on a saturday, our group didn't have to wait long on any hole. An enjoyable experience overall. Will be going back for more.
