Absolutely amazing course. Stunning scenery of the surrounding hills and in March it is quite nice. The grass was some of the best I have ever been on. The greens were well maintained and the paths in great condition. As each tee is elevated, it is imperative you avoid being visually compelled to try and hit the ball harder. The ball carries very well so just check your carry distances and you can navigate the tee shots pretty well. The hillsides are littered with the reminders of those who came before that could not. I definitely will make this course a must play whenever I am in the Las Vegas area in the future.

Simply stunning and like nothing else I've ever played. There's not a single hole on the course that's boring or mundane. Don't let the yardage on the card fool you... it's not terribly long from the whites or blues but that certainly doesn't mean it's easy! Don't even think about the black tees unless your at least a scratch golfer. During your first time out it can be quite challenging to pick the right club and target from the extremely elevated tees, but that's part of the fun.

When I played they had just reopened after the annual re-seeding so the fairways were quite long and fluffy... but that's a necessary evil for courses in the area. Greens were still excellent though. Pace of play can be a bit on the slower side, but given the amazing scenery that was almost a plus and gave us a chance to soak it all in. This is not the sort of course for a quick 3.5 hour round. Driving range is irons only, but that's fine for just getting warmed up pre-round. There's also a practice bunker on the range. Course staff was extremely welcoming. Will certainly be back.

I made the 90 mile drive from Las Vegas to play this course and found it to be well worth it. The course is a stunner, with dramatic scenery everywhere you look, huge elevation changes, intimidating tee shots, and just a feeling that you are playing someplace very special. Pace of play can be a bit slow, but understandable as you can't help but marvel at the scenic views and pop off a few photos. Service was wonderful, and the course design takes you past a drive thru snack shop every five holes or so.

No gps in carts was a bit baffling considering the fee and the unusual nature of the course, but no big deal. No sprinkler problems and I didn't finish until 4pm or so. I can't imagine a disturbance at the course. Everyone basically feels privileged to be playing such a unique and scenic course.

I've played golf in Vegas area many times and this course ranks way up there at the top. Worth every penny in my book. Can't wait to go back.

Great Course, but pace of play was a killer! It took us almost 6 hours to play. Everyone treated us great, but I think it is way over priced.

WOW what a course. If it were in Vegas city limits it'd cast $500+. Truly a MUST play. Going back this August.

Wow, this golf course is beautiful. A couple of friends and I went from Houston, TX to Mesquite, NV just to play this course. We had paid and were teeing off the first tee when the sprinkler system started. When I asked RON (found out later he was valet personnel) what was happening. He threw his arms up in the air gave the “I don’t care” move with his shoulders and waved us away. When I asked RON again he stated “You should have teed off sooner, they are automatic and I guess you have to play that way” He then laughed and turned away. When asked if they would be turned off he continued to be rude. I was not happy with the way he was treating us. I went up to the pro shop because I was not going to waste my money. I had just spent $300.00 in the pro shop. My friends had also spent a good amount of money there. I do not know why he would treat customers the way he did. I spoke the manager and the pro shop clerk and they were nice and fix the sprinkler problem. I got a refund of my money and put my clubs away. I was so upset there was no way I would be able to enjoy playing golf on such a beautiful course. RON RUINED MY TRIP!!!! I did ride while my friends played and got great pictures. If you go have a great time and attempt to avoid RON “the valet” he is an older man who is very rude, has poor attitude and does not know one thing about customer service. We went on Sept. 17 teed off at 3pm. The sunset made the course look spectacular.

Just a tough, one of a kind golf course, we used to play it every year, making a 1 1 /2 hour trip from Vegas, but it kills you everytime, and is just too difficult. This year we went up the road to St George, and used to find a number of great courses in the ara, at better rates than Vegas or mesquite

Favorite course of my rookie year. Last of the year, and a great way to finish!

This might be the best course I've played in Nevada, that and Shadow Creek. The holes have beautiful, panoramic views, and progression from hole to hole is great. I found myself saying, "this just keeps getting better and better." The course is much more difficult from the blue tees, especially the last par 3 on the front nine; so if you are playing it twice, play from the whites the first day and figure out all position A's, which will make blues easier the next time. The most difficult part of the course was distance control on some of the steep uphill green locations. The visual contrast between the desert mesas and the green fairways makes this the most interesting desert course I've played. The views are really spectacular; so bring your camera.

As has been stated before, great scenery and tough course. Would like to play again and not worry about the scenery and just play. Not THAT difficult if land ball in fairways.

Just played wolf creek on Thursday, the greens are SEVERLY SLOW...the TEE boxes are shagging and very bumpy...the staff that greet you sortav nice. We asked for another bottle of water and got yelled at by the wait staff. We stayed in Mesquite for two days, which is plenty, cause there is nothing going on. We played falcon and oasis and they were worth the $70 cost to play, but WolfCreek at $175...please...not worth it.

This course is really hard to put into words. You must play it yourself to appreciate it. Drink alot of water, bring alot of balls, and have a slice of humble pie. This course will really let you know where you stand. Pricey but worth it. Oh, don't forget the camera.

played this course spring of 06 and going back soon, Ive played a number of highly rated and very scenic golf courses up and down the Calif coast but this course has got to be one of the most beautiful a golfer may ever see, as the review says 'a golf calendar come to life' , make sure you bring the camera and dont rush, the views over the course from the elevated tee boxes are amazing...good luck

Kelby Hughes is no longer the Superintendent of Wolf Creek at Paradise Canyon. I am a college student looking for internship possibilities in starting in late March of 2008. Wolf Creek was one of my first choices for golf courses, it's reputation makes it a very appealing job oppourtunity.

This course is the most challenging and most beautiful course I have played to date. Dont come (for the first time) thinking that a great score is forthcoming , but come with the expectations of an inspiring view on every hole. Bring your Camera and someone who truly loves the game for a GREAT Vacation.

This is the only PUBLIC course i know of that you can get kicked off of the PRACTICE putting greens. I was not happy with the way we were treated and would not waste my money. I do not know why they would treat their customers the way they did. It's not like we were not PLANNING on playing the course, so yes we did cancled our tee time and went somewhere else. It is a beautiful course but it is not worth it if do not get treated the way they should
