Lakeside Golf Course


The 9-hole "Lakeside" course at the Great Gorge Golf Club facility in Vernon, New Jersey features 3,402 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Designed by George Fazio, ASGCA, the Lakeside golf course opened in 2017. David Killin manages the course as the General Manager.

This course is now part of the Crystal Springs system which has several nice courses that over shadow this one. It used to be affiliated with the Playboy Club back in the 70s and 80s. Today, it does not seem to have a great reputation, but when I played it mid-season, the poor reputation was not warranted. The fairways were beautiful, the greens looked shaggy, but rolled great and true. This is a forgotten gem in northwestern NJ that is worth playing.
