This by far the absolute worst maintenance I have ever seen on a golf course. It really is a shame because the layout of the course is really nice. However, I do not think anyone has raked the geese droppings in over a year. I had to drive through a maze to find the next hole because there are no signs to guide you. The tee boxes consist of uneven markers in high uncut grass. It was difficult to tell where the fairway ended and the green began. They charge 18 to walk the course. Even at that price it is still a ripoff. I would rather play golf on a frozen lake than return back to that dump. Again, it is a shame because the course has a lot of potential if someone would maintain it.

Poorly maintained, small greens, outdated facilities, and what seems to be a non-caring staff. The location is good, and usually try this course out once every two years because of the location but I amm left feeling disappointed after I leave. I rated it high on value, only because I feel it's a course I can get on without a hassle, and 40$, although high for this course, isn't a bad price compared to what it costs to play other courses in the area. If you want to work out something with your game its fine for that, but I wouldn't bring friends to this course.

This course is easily my least favorite course of all time. It is horribly maintained, costs $40, four-zero dollars to play, and the staff would have trouble running a mini-golf course let alone this one. The bunkers are flooded almost year round, and are never raked. I've played it several times purely out of necessity, but today I got so sick of it I walked off the course on the 12th hole and I'm never going back.

I would never suggest this course to anyone. It is $40 to WALK and is in terrible shape. Only $18 to walk after twilight, but the staff is unsure as to when twilight begins if you call and ask. Furthermore, the staff is very unfriendly and downright rude.

Great course if you just want to walk on anytime. It is not the best maintained course. The challenge is the postage stamp size greens. Nothing special but a good course to practice on.

Course in a lot better shape than I had heard it would be in late September. Course gets a bad rap because it's employees are a little rough around the edges. Could definitely improve, but not a bad NJ public course.

Reviewed July 26, 2008

Staff is rude and seem to have a disdain for golfers. It is the place to bring someone who is learning and nothing more. If this was further out in Jersey, would never ever play this course.

I think East Orange is a great course for what it is. It's not supposed to be Bethpage Black or Long Island National. It's simple and play moves quickly. I started playing after 5 p.m. yesterday and could've finished 18 holes before dark.

They've started changing the course. For instance, there is foot long fescue grass in some places. Instead of red and white lengths a third length has been added.

There have been discussions to add more water to the course. In addition, the sand should be softer and deeper and larger near the greens. I think that the new management is accomodating and friendly.

I look forward to bringing friends and business associates to this course.

decent course but after a few months into the year it isn't that great...employees arent the greatest but a course you need to play as soon as the weather gets nice in order to enjoy iy...

The employess are very arrogant and the course is in bad shape after May.
